My treatment modalities include DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, MI, MSC-T and somatic interventions for trauma.
Hi there! Is your child or teen struggling with sadness, anger or excessive worry? Peer pressure, school-related stressors, and social media all contribute in some capacity to the increase in anxiety/depression, substance use, suicidal ideation and self-harm in youth. As a clinician, I operate from an attachment theory lens, using a client-centered and trauma-informed approach to help teens and parents reach their goals.

You are curious and ready to do meaningful work. You are seeking therapy that goes deep, stays real, and honors the whole person. I work with people who want to better understand themselves—not just to analyze the past, but to feel more alive and connected in the present. I practice from a psychoanalytic and relational lens. That means we’ll explore your history, relationships, and inner world—but always in the service of helping you feel more grounded and alive in your life today. It’s not about getting lost in the past; it’s about understanding how it shapes the present, and what needs to shift.

I am passionate about working with adolescents, adults, and individuals navigating life transitions who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally disconnected, stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, carrying unresolved trauma, or questioning who they are and how they want to move through the world. Many of the clients I connect with are functioning on the outside but internally struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or the lasting impact of difficult life experiences.

What if therapy could make room for psychology, intuition, and the possibility that your soul has something to say too? You’re not just a brain with symptoms. You’re a whole person—mind, body, history, intuition, and maybe a little mystery. You can understand your patterns intellectually and still find yourself repeating them. That’s often where the deeper work begins. My approach blends clinical insight with intuition, with a particular focus on what may be happening beneath the surface.

Whether you are seeking therapy for the first time or returning for something “deeper”- this is the home for you. This space belongs to anyone with painful experiences that have changed the way they desire to see others, themselves, and the world: children of neglectful, abusive, absent, or critical families, cultures, and institutions, those in transitions, those who feel "There is something wrong with me, I cannot trust others, I am too much/I am not enough", those whose mental health keeps them feeling “stuck”, misunderstood, or that their body is against them. Healing together means learning to live outside of fight or flight.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
