I have provided insight-oriented psychotherapy to individuals in the valley for over 15 years now. I believe it is important to carefully tailor therapy to the needs of each individual client and in cooperation with the client. My orientation is predominantly Jungian and my roots are in Depth Psychology, providing the foundation for most of my therapeutic work. Eastern contemplative psychology is also frequently integrated into the treatment. I have experience treating individuals struggling with life questions or transitions, depression, anxiety, substance abuse or self-esteem issues.

In therapy, I offer a grounded, supportive space where you can feel truly seen and empowered to pursue the change you’re longing for. Drawing on EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we’ll gently explore the roots of your struggles, while building practical tools—emotional regulation, body awareness, and mindset shifts—to help you move through life with more clarity and resilience. You already hold the capacity for healing and growth; my role is to help you reconnect with that strength and take meaningful steps forward.

Many people feel they must carry their trauma and pain alone. You don't have to. I gently and somatically help my clients understand patterns of behaviors and beliefs which have kept them locked in lives and relationships they do not find satisfying or fulfilling. Many people want to change their patterns, but can't move beyond them to healthier ways of being in their lives, their relationships, and in their bodies. I use EMDR combined Internal Family Systems to unlock your strengths and resources as we explore both your present life and past experiences.

There has to be more to Mental Care than crisis management, disorders, illnesses, or diagnosis labeling. We are proactive in the maintenance of our bodies, yet, we neglect the "main computer" the mind, the psyche, the CORE of us. We, at CORE, believe in working hard - Mental Health Boot Camp - if you get the drift. Compassion is abundant at CORE but not in the form of soft talk. You are doing hard work and we take it serious. As a team we will discover those aspects of "self" that make us all so amazing. We will walk together sharing life's stories and how they do or do not define who you are at our CORE.

For as long as I can remember, I have been interested in how people compensate for their weaknesses. I am fascinated with our ability to learn and to grow from our present circumstances and succeed when statistically we should be "slowed down." I have had the opportunity to help people realize this potential, or have observed their potential in action. This has led to a continual motivation to not only understand myself more, but also a passion for helping others pursue their values despite what life may throw their way. With that in mind, I look forward to helping with difficulties that one might be facing as they journey.

My passion is facilitating connection. There is so much pain and struggle that results from feeling disconnected from our partners and our families. Too often, the greatest pain is felt when we are disconnected from ourselves. This can show up in many ways: relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more. Together, through the cultivation of conscious awareness and the building of new skills, we will locate your inner resiliency and use that to forge a path to a better life.

I am a somatic psychotherapist specializing in Womens health. The foundation of my approach to psychotherapy is in addressing the needs of the nervous system, helping clients to understand their own behavior and to improve their ability to live in their desired experience (less anxious, less depressed, more hopeful, etc.). In addition, my training provides the opportunity to address the distress of living in experiences that we never wanted to have and don't want to be the reality. I am dedicated to providing women with a safe environment to process trauma, grief, loss, fears and hopes as they manage the tasks of daily life.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a counselor is the privilege to walk alongside someone at pivotal and transformative points in their journey. I specialize in working with children and adolescents, and enjoy supporting youth in navigating the unique experiences they face in the modern world. I work particularly well with clients who want to process past trauma, clients struggling with general concerns such as depression/anxiety, clients who are exploring their identity, and clients who experience chronic pain. Working with me starts with getting to know your story, what you’re struggling with, and what your goals are.

Hi, I’m someone who finds joy in creativity, compassion, and connection—with people, animals, and the natural world. Art has always been a deep passion of mine; whether I’m painting, drawing, or exploring new mediums, it’s how I express what words sometimes can’t. That led me to art therapy. I’m also someone who thrives on helping others. I believe small acts of kindness can create big ripples. My love for animals runs just as deep. When I’m not creating or helping, you’ll most likely find me outdoors. Nature is my happy place—whether I’m hiking, camping, gardening, or just watching the sunset, it recharges and inspires me.

We understand the challenge of knowing that your child is suffering (through symptoms of anxiety, sadness, aggression, defiance and/or low self esteem) but not knowing exactly how to support them. Our team of therapists (based in Denver, Dallas, and Atlanta) support highly sensitive and gifted children, as well as their parents, in addressing patterns that are holding them back from their greatest potential. In addition to having deep understanding of the sensitive child, our therapists are trained to support ADHD, oppositional defiance, post traumatic stress, and attachment trauma. Hello! I am a Clinical Psychologist who focuses on bringing more vitality and meaning to everyday life. I approach therapy from a lens that is both intellectual and creative, to catalyze intentional change and foster optimal well-being. Working together would include learning about neuroscience, gaining a deep understanding of how things work, and why things work in the brain. We will also bring awareness to life patterns that are getting in the way. If you are feeling stuck, unmotivated, and out of sync, my goal is to help you find your own path back to the spark of life. Reach out! We aren't meant to do this alone.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
