Whether you are struggling with some inner battles; some life changing or major decisions, I would like to provide some good listening, accountability or guidance. Some specific issues that might be addressed include lack of motivation, confusion about direction, relationship issues, career changes, health issues, caregiving challenges or just needing to sort out priorities. In our lifetime, we find ourselves at many crossroads, and we can feel stuck or at a loss for direction. Whether you're trying to figure out if you're in the best relationship, which career path to take, how to manage difficult family or work relationships, or how to finally make that one big change you've been wanting to make, you're not alone. Life is challenging, the options can feel overwhelming, and it's easy to feel lost and lonely; we've all been there, many times. You don't have to wander and struggle alone; I'm here to guide and support you, and provide ideas, skills, and even scientific research to help you decide.

Living in today's society can be overwhelming. We are at once very busy and very disconnected. In the little spare time that we have, folks are plagued by big, difficult questions like “what is my purpose here?” and “what should one do with their life?”. Psychiatrist and WWII survivor Viktor Frankl famously said “Those who have a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any 'how’”, and I agree. In counseling, I help clients uncover their "why" through exploration of their unique values and beliefs. Once we find it, we then use that information to create a more meaningful and rewarding day-to-day life.

My role as a therapist is not independent, but a partnership. I am a collaborator and facilitate exploration as a means of helping to determine what best serves you and helping you to empower yourself to make desired changes. I understand that it can be awkward or stressful to make the call or take the step to talk to someone. I will do my best to help you feel safe and comfortable with me. Confidentiality is sacred. If you should find that I am not the therapist for you I will help you find someone who would be a better fit for your needs.

I am a somatic psychotherapist specializing in stress and anxiety reduction. I trust that you have the answers and ability you need to feel better; it just may be hard to access your own wisdom and understanding at this moment. Through years of clinical practice I am able to offer you reflection, knowledge and hope, shining a light on your strengths and helping you to move through emotional barriers that stymy your growth and personal evolution. My theoretical orientation is integrative and client-centered. I focus on the here and now, facilitating change, increasing awareness and fostering authentic relationships.

As a therapist, I believe in the importance of a person's autonomy, feeling seen without judgment, and that there is no right way to move through the process. From my experience, healing often requires allowing the hard, sticky, revolting, and unwanted emotions to create space for the pleasurable ones. It’s natural to need support through that process. I value joining the body, mind, and emotional realms, incorporating parts work, body-centered approaches, and practical neuroscience. As I learn to take myself less seriously and slow down, I am a big proponent of bringing humor and creative modalities into therapy as well.

ACT's principles provide a new approach to life, a way of being in the world. I learned them as a client years ago, and I still practice them everyday in my own life.

I work with adults of all ages, including couples. I assist people in clearing away unnecessary negative layers that get in the way of living a more fulfilling and enjoyable life. A lot of my clients struggle with everyday problems that affect many of us, but I specifically treat depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma, using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and a variety of approaches to talk therapy.

I am a therapist who helps individuals, organizations, and groups thrive. I invite my clients to practice new futures and live into new stories. Healing is creating possibilities and enlivening potentialities. I support folks to shift into resilient states and discover more ease in daily living. Populations I particularly enjoy working with include "Quarterlifers" between the ages of 20-40, LGBTQIA+ folks, people who have experienced outdoor trauma or accidents, and those in life transitions.

After spending a month in the back country of Alaska, I discovered a passion for helping others and the true power that nature holds. I enjoy working and using nature as a co-therapist and thinking out side the box when it comes to helping and supporting my clients. I have a passion for working with teens and have specialized in tech addiction, Autism and offering perinatal support to new mothers. I also work with young adults, adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and family systems challenges.
