Are you feeling stuck, anxious, or overall a lack of life satisfaction? You are not alone. As a therapist, I encourage my clients to discover their own wholeness. I guide adolescents, young adults, adults, parents, and couples in achieving their fullest potential that already exists within. One of the main results of experiential and Gestalt is going from talking about what you are struggling with, to actually feeling and moving through what you are seeking counseling for in your life. We will get to the deeper layers that aren't accessible through mainstream therapy. You have the power to get to a better way of living and being.

Accepting New Clients! Schedule instantly through the website link in bio! There are many reasons people seek out therapy. Often life can seem out of control, chaotic, and impossible to navigate. Other times people may feel stuck, lost, or overwhelmed with the turns life has taken. Life struggles are inevitable and sometimes people need additional support. I am particularly trained in working with adults and children who suffer from persistent obsessions, compulsions, social anxiety, panic attacks, phobias and chronic worry and/or stress. Many individuals I see also have other issues that are also addressed as part of the therapy. Cognitive behavior therapy is an excellent treatment for these issues, which often empowers the individual to get better control using specific tools and an individualized plan tailored to their needs. Therapy tends to be relatively short term with maintenance or follow up sessions as needed to ensure individuals maintain their gains.

Do you feel like your relationships are the heart of your life, yet somehow they feel disconnected or strained? Perhaps you’re a dad struggling to bring your emotional life into focus, or a parent watching your teen navigate challenges you aren't sure how to help with. It’s common to feel "stuck" or hesitant about therapy, but you don't have to navigate these systems alone. I specialize in helping individuals - particularly men and adolescents - learn more about themselves so they can live a more authentic and connected life.

There is a narrow margin between meeting the demands of our daily lives and becoming overwhelmed. As our lives require more and more of us, our resources of time, patience, and compassion can dwindle. If you are reading this because you are seeking help with rediscovering the person you want to be, I see you. I believe we are all doing our best. I also believe most of us come to a point in our lives when we realize the strategies we have learned aren't yielding the results in our lives we intended. My goal is for each person who leaves my office to understand themselves a little bit better and be a more authentic version of themself

Overwhelming pressure, life transitions, past trauma, or simply the burden of daily stressors can pile on you until it feels you're carrying the weight of the world. When overwhelmed, you may find it relatively impossible to maintain close relationships with family, friends, and significant others. This can create a vicious cycle of anxiety, isolation, and hopelessness. It can feel like you have no way out.

Finding the right support shouldn’t be so difficult. It can be really challenging just to identify all of the relevant factors in why we seek treatment. When we are ready to make change because something is not working, there is not always a simple answer or one intervention. Often we need to look from multiple perspectives and approach things in different ways to solve life’s complicated issues. I have extensive experience working with clients, spouses and family members of those with substance issues, narcissistic or antisocial traits. Internal boundaries, expectations and identifying core values is at the heart of this work.

Schedule instantly through my website link in my profile! Julia Spenadel, LPCC, ATR-P is the owner and psychotherapist of Julia Spenadel, Counseling and Art Therapy. I began my career as a makeup artist, helping people express themselves outwardly, but eventually felt called to support people in a deeper way. That calling led me to art therapy, where self-expression, mindfulness, and compassion intersect. If you live with neurodivergence, anxiety, or the burnout that comes from managing overwhelming demands, you likely feel like the world doesn’t fit the way your brain works. My approach is person centered and trauma-informed.

Currently accepting new clients. Introductory meeting scheduled within 24 hours. With so many therapists and so little time a short phone call will give you a sense of whether I’m likely to be a good fit. Why? Well, there is something about the sense of comfort and general experience that is important for successful therapy but is so hard to tell in advance. Usually, you get a clear sense just from the phone call: Did you even get a call back from the therapist? Was it awkward? Easy? Did you feel heard? What does your gut say? Ten minutes and you’re done done with the first part. If it's not the right fit I'll help you find one!
