After spending the past ten years working for Major League Baseball as a Minor League Umpire, I’ve been gradually transitioning into a new passion: therapy. This journey has taken me from the baseball field to the counseling room, where I now have the privilege of walking alongside people through their toughest moments. In this new pursuit, I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals in a range of settings, including Shiloh House, a residential non-profit for at-risk youth, and Crisis Text Line, where I have helped people navigate some of their darkest and most vulnerable moments.

You manage a lot. You show up, follow through and carry responsibility well. On the outside, you may seem grounded, capable and composed. On the inside, you might feel chronically overwhelmed, exhausted, or quietly numb. You’ve likely been through loss, trauma, or complicated relationships—and parts of those experiences still linger. You may replay things, struggle to rest, or feel fully settled. You want relief, but not in a way that minimizes what you’ve lived through. I work with thoughtful, driven adults—including creatives, caregivers and helpers—who are used to doing it alone, but don’t want to anymore.

I believe therapy is essential to understanding how our mental health can improve our everyday life. I take a holistic approach with each client to treat the whole person while using neuroscience to inform my work. I am passionate about building an inclusive and collaborative therapeutic environment to address daily challenges around stress, anxiety, trauma, and/or depressive thoughts. It is also important to address my clients’ identities through an antiracist and multicultural based approach to help create an equal relationship where one feels seen and heard.

I think it is safe to say if you’re reading this, you are likely feeling stuck. Stuck in your relationships, stuck in your circumstances, maybe even stuck in your mind. You want freedom and peace, but everything you’ve tried seems to fall short. You were not meant to figure this out alone - I am SO GLAD you're here.

You might find that you struggle with challenges externally - things outside of your control. Or maybe your challenges are deeper and you need the support to process your present. I'd like to be your guide in navigating these challenges so that we can minimize the impact they have on you living your day to day life.

When we experience hardship without community support, we learn to defend against emotions that would be simply too much to hold alone. I work with the nervous system and show up as my real, genuine self. My clients typically come to therapy when their survival strategies hold them back from loving relationships or a fulfilling life, despite their original purpose of aiding in survival in oppressive or difficult environments. I am a pansexual, genderqueer and neurodivergent woman and I hope to co-create spaces with clients that honor their unique life experiences, values, and identities.

Let's do this! I believe we all deserve the opportunity to tell our story and have our story heard in an environment free of judgment. We are all unique, and I look forward to learning and listening to your story to better understand and support your needs, pains, and dreams. Though I am here to offer support, I am also direct and challenging in my approach. Let's just say you won't hear "And how does that make you feel?" in my space. Through both narrative therapy and solution-focused therapy I will encourage you to become the expert in your story while discovering a better sense of self-connection in a disconnected world.

My person-centered approach allows me to connect easily with others. Whether it is your first time or you are therapy-experienced, I will take the time to get to know you, explore your unique perspective, and discover what it is you are hoping to address through therapy. As to an ideal client, I don't believe there is such a thing. What is most important is to find a good fit between the client and the therapist. Having a good, trusting therapy relationship is the best predictor of positive change. Wherever you are, whatever you are struggling with, I will work to help you achieve your goals.

I work with you to define and achieve the life YOU want, whether that is managing symptoms, solving a problem, or simply living a more fulfilling life and being your authentic self. I believe a good therapist, like a good friend, doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear. I challenge my clients to see new perspectives, notice their blind spots, and find new insights. My theoretical orientation draws primarily from humanism and existentialism. I draw techniques from MI, CBT, and DBT. I would describe my style as cognitive-based and intellectual, with no “BS” and a healthy dose of humor!
