I specialize in supporting clients as they navigate trauma, self-worth, identity, body image, gender dysphoria, relationship dynamics—including nonmonogamy and polyamory.
I’m passionate about supporting individuals and partners who identify as queer, neurodivergent, and chronically ill/disabled with a particular focus on those navigating gender identity, disability, ADHD, and Autism. As a queer, dynamically disabled, and neurodivergent therapist myself, I bring both professional insight and lived experience to my work. I understand the complexities, challenges, and strengths that come with moving through the world — and relationships — from these perspectives. I support clients in embracing their full, authentic selves, celebrating their identities, and cultivating healthy, meaningful connections.

I’m affirming of all gender identities, consensual sexual and romantic expressions, and relationship structures - monogamy, ENM, polyamory, kinky, and everything in between.
We've all been handed a box of "shoulds" about sexuality and relationships—what they’re supposed to look like, how they’re supposed to work. My goal is to help you break out of that box and open up to the limitless potential that is actually out there. You deserve to feel comfortable, unashamed, and completely yourself in how you experience your relationships and sexuality. In therapy, we’ll create a space where curiosity and experimentation are encouraged, where you can renegotiate and reshape sex and relationships in ways that feel most true to you.

I specialize in working with individuals and relationships outside traditional norms, including those exploring polyamory, ethical non-monogamy (ENM), and kink.
Sometimes life throws us into situations we never imagined facing. As a trauma therapist, I focus on helping clients uncover the deeper roots of what holds them back from living as their most authentic selves. When we endure hardship, our bodies often cling to the survival tools that got us through—even when those tools no longer serve us. Sometimes they fit the moment; other times, they can make things more difficult. In our work together, we'll gently slow things down, explore what truly works for you, and begin the shift from automatic reactions to intentional responses.

I work with both individuals and relational systems surrounding relational concerns, ethical non-monogamy/ polyamory, codependency, familial conflicts; as well as anxiety, depression, financial stress, and life transitions.
I know finding the right fit for a therapist can be a bit like shopping for a sofa: try a bunch before finding the one that makes you want to rest and stay a while. I am a licensed professional counselor and a marriage and family therapist candidate. My work is relational at its core, whether I am working with individuals, or larger units. Those who seem to get the most out of working with me are in touch with their internal emotional landscapes and interested in being active participants in their healing.

Open Relationships Non-Monogamy Therapists

Why might an individual want to see a therapist specializing in open relationships and consensual non-monogamy?

A client seeking help with an open or consensually non-monogamous relationship will prefer to talk with a professional whom they can count on to be nonjudgmental. Talking with a supportive therapist may on its own help relieve some of the stigma and challenges partners face. That said, the most important factor in the success of any type of therapy is the ability of the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond. For this reason, an individual or couple could find success with a therapist who does not specialize in non-monogamous relationships but with whom they can build trust.

When should open or consensually non-monogamous partners seek counseling?

Like other couples, polyamorous partners typically seek counseling when they face relationship challenges they can’t solve themselves. In non-monogamous relationships, this could include breaches of trust, including infidelity; unclear rules or violations of boundaries; jealousy of outside partners; the stress of juggling the needs of multiple partners; or the effect of high partner turnover on children. Like those of other couples, polyamorous bonds can be threatened by increasingly frequent arguments, poor or dysfunctional communication, diminished emotional or physical intimacy, or the feeling that something is wrong, even if they don’t know what it is.

Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in open relationships and consensual non-monogamy?

No, but individuals seeking help with non-monogamous relationships would most likely consult a licensed professional with specific training in couples counseling or couples therapy. Couples counseling and couples therapy both involve teaching concrete strategies to navigate conflict in relationships. A good therapist can engage both partners as they explain these approaches but can also work with a single partner.

How long does therapy for consensually non-monogamous couples typically last?

Couples therapy for any type of couple, tends to be relatively time-limited, lasting around 12 weeks on average. A good therapist will tailor sessions to the individual partners’ emotions and sometimes their past, along with patterns found to be repeating in the relationship. In many cases, clients should expect their therapist to assign “homework” between weekly sessions.
