Are you struggling with aligning your life activities with your values and goals? Do you find yourself feeling stuck in unfulfilling relationships? It’s vital to acknowledge and face your current situation and its impact on you in order to make change happen, and psychotherapy provides space for this. We'll begin by talking about your goals for therapy, and we'll collaborate on a plan for our work together. You can expect to develop more perspective and self-compassion, find a new capacity to navigate difficult feelings, and uncover and work towards freedom from habitual thought patterns.

I became a therapist because I genuinely want to provide a space for people to show up just as they are. You don’t need to feel a certain way, say anything specific, or meet any goal on my timeline. When we can sit back and accept ourselves as we are, we begin to hear things we couldn’t while trying to fix or fight parts of ourselves. I believe even the most challenging parts of us have protective purposes—they deserve curiosity, not shame.

Authenticity and compassion are at the core of my work. I believe that true healing begins with an honest and genuine connection, and I prioritize creating an space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. By making room for you to tell your personal story we can shine a light on old relationship patterns, understand them, and discover new ways to move forward. Meditation and mindfulness have been central to my own healing, and I weave them into my work so we can meet sensitive stories with curiosity and compassion.

Are you successful on paper but feel tense, overthinking, or like nothing you do is ever enough? Maybe stress, burnout, or emotional shutdown have you stuck in patterns you can’t shake. Some are new to therapy, others have tried for years and still feel blocked. I work with intelligent, driven people—often men and individuals from marginalized communities—who want insight to land in real life. Using a body-based, nervous system–informed approach grounded in movement science, I help clients build presence, depth, and alignment in their relationships and lives.

I want to help you develop skills and tools to create sustainable fulfilment within your life. Common challenges we all face include issues with self-esteem, processing negative or strong emotions, work-life balance, adjusting to change, developing meaningful relationships, and discovering our purpose. In addition, stress, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and interpersonal conflict can obstruct our ability to experience life to its fullest potential.

I take a holistic and eclectic approach to therapy. I want to know your sources of pain - but I also want to know what you value, what has shaped you, where you draw inspiration, your beliefs, and how you feel in your own body. We’ll peel back layers, we'll process distress, and we'll build practical tools to manage the challenges you're facing. Ultimately, we’ll build a more authentic, empowered sense of self. If something is no longer serving you, let’s figure out how to change it. My focus areas include sexuality, sex, anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, trauma, and life-transitions.

Marriage Counseling Therapists

How does marriage counseling work?

Marriage counseling works by teaching couples concrete skills to communicate with one another and solve disagreements in healthy ways. A trained mental health professional works with both members of a couple to explore difficulties the couple may be having and helps them develop skills to address these matters. Couples who don’t have any difficulties but want to prepare for marriage may develop skills for the future.

How long does marriage counseling typically last?

Marriage counseling is a short-term form of therapy; the process may last between four and eight sessions. Other forms of relationship guidance from mental health professionals, such as couples therapy, are longer lasting, may focus on the past rather than just the present, and are tailored to the individual couple and their emotions, history, and patterns in the relationship. Couples therapy often lasts for 12 weeks or longer.

Is marriage counseling effective?

Marriage counseling helps many couples develop relationship skills that may not have been acquired or tested in a relationship; partners may be better able to communicate and address conflict following counseling. However, there are many different forms of marriage counseling, and this form of counseling does not have as strong an evidence base as other modalities such as couples therapy.

Is marriage counseling effective if only one partner wants to go?

Yes, marriage counseling can still be effective if one partner convinces the other to engage in the process. Of course, whether counseling is effective depends on the couple’s commitment to work on their relationship; however, the short-term, skills-based nature of marriage counseling makes it a relatively easy “ask” of a partner, and the hesitant individual may see its value once counseling begins.
