I am also trained in Sensorimotor psychotherapy, and IFS, EMDR Certified.
Many times, life transitions and unresolved trauma can make us feel like there is no way out. It can be overwhelming. But it does not have to be like that. As your therapist, I can provide a supportive nonjudgmental space for you to explore and resolve issues related to past trauma or present moment issues that cause distress to you.

Modalities include a blend of Gestalt, NARM, SE, IFS, Cranio-sacral, relational and attachment-focused approaches.
My approach in therapy is warm, honest, and direct. I don’t believe in staying in therapy forever and I will hold your intention with you as we focus each session on moving towards what you most want. I believe in getting to the healing, finding the way through and living life how you most want to. I will help you listen deeply and accurately to yourself and make the choices that are truest for you. I support clients with all types of issues and specialize in individual trauma resolution (PTSD and C-PTSD), attachment healing and relationships, life transitions, grief/loss, anxiety/depression. I work with individual and couples.

Clinically, my approach includes an eclectic combination of Polyvagal Theory, Narrative, ACT, IFS, and Attached-Based interventions.
Does it ever feel like you are at war with yourself? Whether it's questioning your emotions & thoughts, self-sabotaging, or rapidly shifting moods, you've come to terms that the internal chaos within you is wreaking external havoc around you. Whether it's your own internal processing or a series of painful events: something has led you to question yourself, your beliefs (including spiritual beliefs), body, & your experiences of meaning. I'm here to walk with you in the sacred work of bringing a sense of wholeness & congruence into your life, body & being.

I utilize EMDR, DBT, Internal Family Systems, EFT, and Values based exploration in my work with individuals.
Are you in a relationship and feeling trapped in communication patterns that leave you feeling disconnected, alone, or unheard? Are you an individual who is feeling challenged with anxiety, your relationship with food, your relationships in general, or "getting past your past". I work regularly with couples and individuals to find healing within themselves and within their relationships, to learn ways to regulate emotion in order to experience life with more joy, and to feel more able to organize around their emotion vs. feel overwhelmed from it. I am currently working online via video with clients. I see clients in person at times.

I practice almost exclusively from a framework known as Internal Family Systems or IFS.
I'm aware things suck right now, otherwise you wouldn't be here looking for a therapist. Wading through 1000 profiles of counselors waxing on about themselves isn't helping much. So, I'm here to simplify things. The most important part of successful therapy is having a strong connection with your counselor. This generally means you share a similar vibe or interests. I like dad jokes. I dig art and all things creative. I collect tattoos. I love house music and was a club DJ in my younger days. I understand stress/anxiety (I'm also an attorney), divorce (been there, done that, got the t-shirts), parenting and existential angst.

Using IFS-Informed EMDR, I help my clients get to the root of their struggles and “overwrite” underlying, negative core beliefs - allowing you to heal from trauma and experience transformational, lasting change.
Are you tired of feeling stuck? Like things from your past are holding you back and keeping you from reaching your full potential? Are you ready to actually work through your shit? To move past your past and step into the future you’ve always dreamed about? You might already know exactly which trauma(s) you want to work on. Or maybe you aren’t sure where exactly your current issues stem from but there are things from your past that you have never really dealt with. Maybe you feel like “trauma” is too strong a word, but you know certain things you experienced growing up have had a lasting impact on your self-esteem and relationships.

Sometimes we come to a point where we feel like we’ve hit a wall. Maybe you’ve been doing therapy for years, but you still feel like there’s something that needs to break through. If this feels like where you’re finding yourself, I can help. I work specifically with female-identified clients who relate to the idea of being a highly-sensitive person, or HSP. Being a sensitive woman in our world can be a traumatizing experience in and of itself. Beyond that, HSPs often play the role of the scapegoat in abusive family systems, simply because they’re more aware of what’s going on. But there is nothing wrong with how you were made.

Using a blend of principles from mindfulness, Gestalt, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we will work together to first understand and become aware of the various parts of you.
My approach to therapy is centered around the idea that we are all whole people made up of various parts of ourselves. We have motivated parts, anxious parts, angry parts, protective parts, inner child parts, and many others. Some of our parts feel stronger than others. Maybe you have an anxious or angry part that feels out of your control. Maybe you have a part of you that feels the need to people please, or one that is drawn to toxic relationship patterns. You might be aware of the areas of your life you would like to change, but you have certain parts that tend to make change difficult.

I take a somatic or body centered approach as well as IFS.
Welcome, you made it! Taking the first step to therapy is courageous and can seem uncertain and unknown. Regardless if this is your first time seeking therapy or twentieth time, you have arrived! Some questions that can start the therapeutic journey might be "am I surviving life rather than thriving in it?" "Do I want to work through grief, anxiety, loss of meaning and purpose, or interpersonal challenges?" "Are my partner and I ready to discover a new phase of our relationship? Or create a new shared vision for our relationship and/or and family?" Whatever your question is, therapy is a safe and supportive place for your inquiry.

I help individuals navigate their life and heal from trauma using trauma-informed interventions like Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and attachment-based tools.
Hi, I’m Lindsay, a queer relationship and trauma therapist. Life's hard sometimes. It's an oversimplified statement, but sometimes simplicity feels good in the midst of chaos and mess. Trying to make sense of family, relationships, medical care, and work environments in a heterosexist world is exhausting. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, haunted by the past, or just unsure of how to show up for your partner or for yourself, then you’re in the right place.

Each individual's healing path is unique and my work is centered on removing the barriers to living from your highest self through the Internal Family Systems (EMDR, EFT Tapping, Brainspotting too).
Heal. Grow. Thrive. This is our trail map for success in helping you to live your life fully alive: emotionally, relationally, physically and spiritually. I specialize in helping individuals heal the root of their anxieties, fears, and traumas so that they can put their energy back into enjoying life again (not just surviving). Finally, we can work on envisioning the life that you've dreamed of, breaking down barriers that keep you from your best and focusing on identifying and building into your strengths.

I utilize modalities and perspectives like DBT, MI, ACT, & IFS.
Navigating this life is our greatest journey, and at times our biggest challenge. Asking for help, while difficult, can be the bravest and best way we support ourselves. No matter what obstacles you may be facing currently, you are not alone. During our time together, we will explore the patterns and stories that have been dominating your life and the systems around you. You are the expert of your lived experience, but sometimes it makes all the difference having assistance and guidance in changing the stories we are telling ourselves. Genuine connection is one of the most healing experiences.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic influences including mindfulness, IFS-inspired parts work, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, feminism, social justice, eco-psychology, nature-based therapy, yoga philosophy, mindbody medicine, polyvagal theory, and transpersonal psychology.
Living with chronic illness and/or chronic pain can be an invisible, isolating, and scary experience. On top of that, the way that our society is structured has all but left these areas out of the realm of psychotherapy and leaves these experiences to the field of medicine alone. If you live with chronic illness or chronic pain, you know firsthand how lacking this model is. In my therapy practice I strive to create space for all aspects of your human experience, while working with you towards the ability to feel safe in your body, access hope and a healthy sense of self, and to transform your suffering into meaning.

I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) to help bring our bodies & minds back into alignment during times of stress or after trauma.
My work is especially effective for queer (LGBTQ+) and neurodivergent people, including ADHD and autism. My ideal client may have tried talk therapy before but found it not to be helpful and is ready to try something new. I believe everyone has the capability to heal and that we all have a light in us that is untouched by trauma and adverse experiences, and my goal is to get you in touch with your own light again. My approach to counseling combines the individual's needs with awareness of larger systems that we exist in. I use a matter-of-fact, down-to-earth and sometimes humorous approach to talking about difficult things.

The model incorporates concepts and practices inspired by Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and psychedelic therapy.
Many of us feel disconnected. From each other and from ourselves. After 13+ years as a trauma therapist, I’ve realized this is what connects us all. Our disconnection. I now offer something different than traditional 1-1 therapy, because that's what I'm meant to do. I create group containers for women to come together and do cool shit. It’s amazing to see them unlock things that are only possible when done in community. To see exponential growth occur because of the group dynamic.
