Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in marketing, where I noticed the struggle to access quality mental health care. This gap inspired me to switch careers and help close it. My interests also include the mental health impacts of COVID and chronic illness. I’m actively involved in research in these areas and love seeing people build confidence and feel better. Specialized care for OCD is often hard to find, I'm excited to work with NOCD to provide this need. At NOCD, my team and I focus on evidence-based treatment for OCD, supported by our intensive training in ERP—the gold standard for OCD treatment.

Accepting New Clients! Schedule instantly through the website link in bio! There are many reasons people seek out therapy. Often life can seem out of control, chaotic, and impossible to navigate. Other times people may feel stuck, lost, or overwhelmed with the turns life has taken. Life struggles are inevitable and sometimes people need additional support. Sometimes we need help finding a new way.

I operate from the belief that self-awareness, questioning our reality, and choosing to create change in our lives are the keys to living vs. surviving. At the risk of sounding very cheesy, you deserve to feel ALIVE and live a life worth living-whatever that looks like for you. Something brought you here; one of the only things I can confidently predict is that you either desire change or fear it. And since change is constant, often inevitable, and really uncomfortable, it often feels like -ready or not here we go. And you don’t have to navigate that alone.

You may be successful, responsible, deeply committed to your faith, and still find yourself anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or wondering why insight alone has not created lasting change. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, OCD, relationship concerns, betrayal, life transitions, and the lingering impact of difficult experiences. Together, we create space to understand what is happening beneath the surface, heal with intention, and move toward healthier patterns.

I am particularly trained in working with adults and children who suffer from persistent obsessions, compulsions, social anxiety, panic attacks, phobias and chronic worry and/or stress. Many individuals I see also have other issues that are also addressed as part of the therapy. Cognitive behavior therapy is an excellent treatment for these issues, which often empowers the individual to get better control using specific tools and an individualized plan tailored to their needs. Therapy tends to be relatively short term with maintenance or follow up sessions as needed to ensure individuals maintain their gains.

Life can sometimes feel like it’s happening to us—especially when we’re caught in the grip of trauma, depression, anxiety, or obsessive thoughts. My passion as a therapist is helping people take back control, break free from the past, and step into a life that feels more whole and purposeful. Whether you’re navigating the echoes of past trauma, struggling with constant anxiety, or fighting against obsessive thoughts that won’t let go, I’m here to help you find peace, healing, and the tools you need to reclaim your life. I believe therapy should be more than just a space to talk—it should be a dynamic partnership.

I believe that therapeutic listening can support us as humans to clarify our own intentions and hear our truth. Modern external life challenges like relationships, balancing career and family, and unforeseen hurdles can leave us unbalanced and disconnected. My ideal client is looking for a beacon within themselves that I hope to shine a light to bring back to center. As a mother, entrepreneur and self-starter of many fulfilling endeavors, realizing that the grounded connection to our own inner voice is fundamental in generating a meaningful life also plays a role in what I bring to the table as a mentor, champion and resource.

Hoarding Therapists
What is the most effective treatment for hoarding?
Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) has been well-studied in the treatment of hoarding. This type of therapy includes changing beliefs surrounding possessions, as well as learning how to discard items and reduce acquisitions. The hoarder may also gain much-needed organizational skills. Another useful therapy may be compassion-focused therapy, which can address emotion regulation and negative self-perception.

How long does therapy for hoarding take?
Although treatment can vary, most people demonstrate improvement after 23 sessions, with some showing improvement after just a few sessions. Researchers have developed a 26-session cognitive behavioral program. People who hoard may need “maintenance” sessions over the years if the problem arises repeatedly.

Are there medications for hoarding?
The more commonly-prescribed medications for hoarding are including antidepressants, including selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), and serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). This can include drugs such as venlafaxine and paroxetine. And because hoarding disorder is related to obsessive-compulsive disorder, medications for OCD, such as clomipramine, may be effective for hoarding as well.

Can hoarding come back after treatment?
Hoarding is a chronic disorder and it can last throughout an individual’s lifetime. Regularly checking in with a psychotherapist can help manage symptoms long-term. A good therapist will help the person learn needed skills including decision-making, organization, and stress reduction. The patient will gain a better perspective and the need to cling to useless items will lessen.
