Welcome! Patients often come to me when they are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or struggling to find motivation. Some may be seeking healing from a trauma or loss. Others may be adjusting to a new role in life. The causes vary but the goal is the same - to feel more at peace internally. My work with patients is collaborative, curious, and focuses on deepening your understanding of yourself and rebuilding trust in your body. I believe strongly in the mind-body connection. My goal for patients is to walk away from each session with a new understanding of themselves and specific tools to use in their lives.

I best serve clients looking to explore who they are, how they relate to the world, and how their emotional experience relates to those things. Anxiety, depression, discomfort, and fear are all part of our lives and absolutely essential. I also work well with clients who are open to a mix of a bit of processing, a bit of skills work, a bit of somatic work, and a bit of creative integrative work. You are more than one aspect of your experience.

People need spaces of safety to learn and explore who they are. Without those experiences, life can become about hiding who you are and ignoring your needs instead of thriving. For folks that identify as LGBTQ+ or neurodivergent, exploring your own identity and self expression can come with a lot of fear about not being accepted or challenges navigating sensory needs. It can be exhausting and challenging to find support that is both understanding and affirming of your unique experiences. But what if you can have a safe space to embrace yourself and support your needs? What if you could discover or reclaim who you are?

Most of my clients are looking to reconnect with pleasure in some way — whether that's healing from sexual trauma, unmasking and accommodating their neurodivergence, embracing their queer identity, or simply cultivating more pleasure and joy in their lives. I deeply believe they deserve joy, even when — especially when — the world around them tells them otherwise. I work hard to bring joy into each therapeutic relationship. I work best with folks who are looking for something beyond the "blank slate" therapists of the past. I'm a whole human and I hope to celebrate the wholeness of your humanity, too.

Sometimes it's hard to see the way through difficult times while bogged down by anxious or depressive thoughts and emotions or haunted by the past. Let's figure it out together. When working with me, you can expect for both of us to be getting to know you better - we will balance honoring your emotions and challenging your beliefs to help you feel heard, understood, and find your way forward. I've been practicing since 2019 in a variety of therapy settings. My main specialties are trauma and BPD but often work with issues related to LGBTQ+, anxiety, and depression.

Your life feels like a roller coaster of emotions, negativity and stress. Your emotions are in the driver's seat so much that you are the one suffering the consequences. You're often second guessing yourself or overthinking situations, but it doesn't work. You feel alone, isolated and utterly stuck. You are tired of feeling tired. You haven't felt like the real you in a long time. Maybe you feel hopeless that things can't get any better. Well, I'm here to tell you that you are not alone. Trauma, anxiety, and depression may be what's keeping you stuck and believing that you don't deserve better.

You keep replaying conversations from a week ago over and over in your head, questioning yourself, judging yourself. Your life looks good on paper, but you don't feel fulfilled - you even feel a little resentful, which makes you feel worse. You've been called a people-pleaser, an overthinker or perfectionist. You're REALLY good at what you do, which mean more keeps getting put on your plate. It feels like everyone want something from you and you never have enough time for yourself. And even if you did have time, you don't even know what you want or need anymore.

I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and it is my role to provide guidance and encouragement as we make sense of your story. I love working with clients who are seeking some direction and focused support on how to discover the best versions of themselves.

Navigating today’s world can feel overwhelming, filled with constant change, pressure, and uncertainty—often beyond our control. Whether you're feeling weighed down by the past, overwhelmed by daily life, or struggling to bridge generational or interpersonal gaps, you don’t have to face it alone. I believe healing begins not only with safety and understanding, but also by recognizing the strengths you already carry. Learning to work with your mind, rather than against it, can be a powerful first step.

Cognitive Processing (CPT) Therapists

How does cognitive processing therapy work?

A CPT therapist helps a client evaluate their thoughts about the trauma they experienced, focusing on maladaptive or self-blaming thoughts that can exacerbate symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, or depression. The therapist will work with a client to help them learn to challenge such thoughts and consider different perspectives. The therapist is also likely to ask a client to work on these techniques at home between meetings, such as writing an account of their trauma that can be read aloud during a future session.

What is cognitive processing therapy for PTSD?

Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy primarily used in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to treat individuals who experienced abuse or violence, who survived natural disasters, who were first responders to such incidents, or who otherwise experienced trauma.

How long does cognitive processing therapy last?

CPT is a short-term therapy. Whether conducted one-on-one or in a group, a complete set of CPT sessions typically includes 12 weekly sessions, along with tasks for clients to complete at home, although this can vary depending on a client’s needs or a therapist’s particular treatment plan. Sessions typically last 60 or 90 minutes.

How effective is cognitive processing therapy?

A large body of research supports the use of CPT to treat people experiencing PTSD, finding it to be effective among different age groups, either in one-on-one therapy sessions or in a group therapy environment. Research suggests that although the initial sessions may be difficult, clients tend to begin to feel positive progress after the first few sessions, and that the benefits tend to last well after the therapy ends.
