My path to becoming a psychologist likely began in early childhood when I began observing the people around me and anticipating their reactions and behavior. In the early stages of my career, I was drawn specifically to understanding attachment style and how our early relationships influenced our emotional development, and how we connect with others. My approach to therapy also includes sensorimotor interventions in which I invite you to practice curiosity about physical sensations and cues. Most integral to my work is the therapeutic relationship for it is only when we feel truly connected that we're able to fully know ourselves.

We help individuals, couples, and families learn new tools, process life’s challenges, and work to meet your therapeutic goals in a safe and brave space through therapy! Life is hard and sometimes we just need a sounding board, some new tools for our tool belt (that we will actually use), and a nonjudgmental supportive third party. Our main goal is to provide an authentic, nonjudgmental, brave, and safe space to work through life's struggles. We are focused on helping you achieve your goals and challenge you to grow how you see fit!

Life can be challenging! It’s often difficult to make sense of what we’re feeling, or know how to recover from periods disconnection, conflict, miscommunication, or pain in relationships. I work with couples and families, and strive to help my clients identify sources of difficulty within their relationships to promote healing, growth, security, and reconnection. Being in therapy can often feel scary or exposing, so I intentionally create a supportive environment where I invite clients (as they're ready!) to allow their full selves to be seen.

At our core, we are relational beings - so I take a relational approach to counseling.
For individuals, the focus is on one's relationship to Self. Often, this includes a nonjudgemental evaluation of the patterns in your life and how to bring about more compassion and choice. The invitation is to slow down, (re)connect with the body, and become curiously engaged with all your parts.
For couples, the focus is on using the relationship as a space for personal and collective growth. Relationships are hard - but with the right tools and practice, your relationship can become a secure foundation to learn and grow from.

Can't stop thinking about the "what if's"? Or maybe you find yourself spending too much time worrying about what people think of you. Sometimes you get to a point where enjoying the present is difficult and you just can’t seem to shake the feeling of being “on edge.” You may even get a sinking feeling in your stomach when Sunday rolls around knowing you have work or school ahead of you. Feelings and thoughts like this may seem like roadblocks to achieving your goals; however, change is possible. I hope to support your own journey in change.

Creating a safe environment is where I begin. I see therapy as a collaborative process that can lead you toward a greater capacity for self-awareness, trust, clarity, a sense of meaning and freedom. Life gives us surprising obstacles, which can make us feel stuck, depressed, alone or scared. With therapeutic presence, creativity and guidance, we can change our relationship to obstacles and transform. Our darkest point may mark the moment we realize we want to change. I use yoga & creative writing in my practice, and am trained in mindfulness/somatic approaches, attachment + gestalt therapy, Focusing, DBT and Relational Life Therapy.
