Clients who work with me often say things like "I haven't had therapy like this before". I think that's usually a good thing. I believe in helping individuals and couples get to the root of their challenges instead of finding temporary relief. If you find yourself feeling stuck personally or in your relationship, I can help. Together, we'll get clear on your goals, your limitations, and your path forward. I have advanced trainings in Emotionally Focused Therapy and EMDR.

Do you find yourself trying to control outcomes in your relationships only to be met with more things to control? Do you feel the need to hide certain behaviors from the people in your life who care about you? Have you turned to alcohol, sex, gambling, pornography and high-risk behaviors to try to prove to yourself that you are capable, powerful and worthy of respect? Have you been wondering what healthy masculinity really looks like in today’s world? If so, you are not alone, far from it actually. I have worked with 1000s of men over that last ten years who have struggled with those same questions and behaviors.

I'm here to help you release ideas of who you 'should' be as you embrace and make space for who you really are. Unfinished mental and emotional energy patterns of past experiences can resurface in painful ways, limiting our ability to be present and dimming our light. By exploring this pain with conscious intention we encounter our soul's greatest lessons, our richest opportunities for growth, and deep personal transformation. It takes tremendous courage to examine our reality and decide something needs to change. Together we will work to remove barriers to joy and peace while reigniting an excitement for your life.

Have you ever heard the saying "the mind is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master?" I can help you learn to not follow your every thought as if it is a command, and to be more connected to the present moment. Integrity, humility, benevolence, and community are the core values of my practice. As your therapist, I will help you identify your core values and what is most important to you. Once we know what is most important, we can nourish those areas while changing how you relate to unhelpful internal patterns. I believe therapy is about repairing relationships, whether to food, to your body, to others or with yourself.

A healthy sense of humor is just as much a bridge to another soul as it is a shield against the unbearable. My clients often laugh as much as they cry or express anger, and I think that's important in the business of connecting and healing. What do you want to heal? Is there something about a relationship with a loved one that feels frustrating, uncomfortable, or unsafe? Do you need a non-judgmental space to help you figure out what you want or who you are?

If you've ever asked the question, "“What do we do with our family member whose drug use and drinking is out of control?” you are not alone. I started The Chronic Hope Institute with the intention of offering my answer to that question—one I get almost every day. You have a much greater chance for success if the whole family, not just the addict, is engaged in recovery. My plan is quick and to the point so we can triage the immediate problem. Then, only once we put the initial fire out, would we spend more time addressing the bigger issues.

Survivor of trauma. Struggling with addiction. Creative. Do at least two of these three describe you? If you're struggling to get sober, you're fearful about the impact sobriety might have on your creativity (and life in general). If you're in early sobriety, you're trying to gain your footing in a new landscape. If you're a trauma survivor, you're confused as to why your insight & sensitivity aren't helping you get to that light at the end of the tunnel. What do you do if your pain is too great to manage on your own?

Does your relationship cause you more pain than joy? Do you feel misheard or misunderstood in conflicts with your partner? Do you feel blamed by your partner, even when you weren't at fault? These may be signs you are in an emotionally/verbally abusive relationship. Emotionally abusive relationships wear away our sense of who we are and leave us doubting our sanity. I can help you understand what is your responsibility in the relationship, and what is not, and help you to cope if you decide to stay, or to move forward and recover if you decide to leave.

Accepting new clients. Have you ever found yourself wondering why certain situations trigger such strong reactions? Do you feel like you’re constantly in survival mode, even when things are calm? Are old patterns, such as people-pleasing, shutting down, hyper-independence or staying hyper-alert, keeping you from the life you want to live? Trauma can leave us feeling stuck, repeating behaviors that once kept us safe but now hold us back. My passion is helping people like you gently unravel those old survival strategies, process heavy emotions and find new ways of being that feel more aligned with your authentic self.

I love working with clients who want a better understanding of the deep interior of their mental, physical, and spiritual function in relation to the world around them and the relationships they engage in. Using an eclectic and collaborative approach, the relationship I build with my clients is deeply rooted in the Humanistic tradition of treating others with unconditional positive regard. Paradoxically, many of our wounds are created in painful relationships that make us scared to trust other people, yet these wounds can only be healed within the context of relationship; therapy provides this opportunity.

Therapy isn’t predictable—the most meaningful change can start with a good question and a shared laugh. With 8 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor—I bring clinical expertise and a lifetime of personal experiences to our time together. My own journey has deepened my understanding of resilience, self-reflection, and authentic connection. I'm here to guide you as you navigate your own path to growth, and we’ll probably share a laugh along the way because, let’s face it, growth is messy, it’s hard, and sometimes, it’s a lot easier to go through it with someone who 'gets it'—and has the professional tools to help.

You are curious and ready to do meaningful work. You are seeking therapy that goes deep, stays real, and honors the whole person. I work with people who want to better understand themselves—not just to analyze the past, but to feel more alive and connected in the present. I practice from a psychoanalytic and relational lens. That means we’ll explore your history, relationships, and inner world—but always in the service of helping you feel more grounded and alive in your life today. It’s not about getting lost in the past; it’s about understanding how it shapes the present, and what needs to shift.
