Hello, I'm here to help. Life is filled with what I consider "tiny deaths". Moments of transition (good or bad). Change can be anticipated, or an unexpected surprise. These events are complimented with complex emotions. Feelings including but not limited to: confusion, rage, grief, stress, anxiety, anger, fear, and loss. My goal is to assist those with processing. I have many clients that do this in an individual capacity, or with their partner/loved one. Allow me to create a space to unpack these changes, along with the inevitable restructuring of your individual identity or relationship as it evolves.

I work with high-achieving women in their 20s and 30s who struggle with people-pleasing, perfectionism, and a lack of self-compassion. Together, we focus on building practical skills that support your day-to-day functioning while also exploring deeper aspects. Exploring the root causes that keep you feeling stuck. This is more than symptom management. You’re functioning well enough not to raise alarms, but you know it’s not sustainable. If it were one of your loved ones feeling this way, you'd drop everything to help. You’d show up and remind them they don’t have to do it all alone. But when it’s you? Your needs get dismissed.

I believe the therapeutic process can be enlightening, challenging, at times uncomfortable, but ultimately transformative and healing. My hope for the relationship we co-create in this process as therapist and client is that you feel affirmed, cared for, safe, and valued. Through a holistic perspective that integrates the mind and body, I aim to empower my clients to identify with and realign with their values in order to achieve their goals and express their most authentic selves. I am passionate about helping individuals move past trauma so it no longer defines their present day experiences.

Welcome! I believe that therapy is an experience in which we work together, rather than one in which a clinician treats a patient. While the methods I use are evidence-based, my approach is heart-centered and mindful. Whether you are wanting help with anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, dating/relationships, divorce/end of a relationship, grief or overcoming a block in your personal growth, you are in the right place. I look forward to speaking with you. I practice EMDR Therapy and received my EMDR Training from the Maiberger Institute.

I am a believer that we do not always get to choose our experiences. Many of them are neither asked for nor deserved, and we get no choice but to deal with the fallout. All of us are simply doing the best we can with what we have, and I want to make that easier for you. My specialty is treating PTSD, I have a very wide range of experience working with individuals who have been incarcerated, victims of abuse, first responders, veterans, and others. I have experience treating other issues as well including depression, anxiety, grief, and other problematic disorders.

Are you feeling disconnected from yourself? Are you overwhelmed trying to keep up with life? You may find little solace in your typical self-care practices, or struggle to find stability amid changes in life and identity. Stress and anxiety are constant, and despite your accomplishments, you are not experiencing the happiness that you expected. You regularly feel on-edge or detached, and significantly struggle being present in your life. With others, you yearn for deep connection while doubting your ability to sustain a loving relationship.

As an adult, you are beginning to realize that your childhood wasn’t “just normal”. You got away from total chaos in your family. Or maybe you left the church/religion. Or you have been rejected by past community for your sexual or gender identity. You thought you could move on but you can’t. This experience has left you totally destabilized. It feels like anxiety and depression are tag teaming. You don’t know who you are anymore. You feel so alone. All of your friends who didn’t have this experience just don’t get it. At the very least you just want to feel normal but what even is that?

From the outside, it looks like you have it all together, but inside, you feel like you’re barely holding on. Balancing expectations, relationships, and responsibilities leaves little time or energy for yourself—so much so that you’re not even sure what caring for yourself would look like anymore. Trauma can shape how you think and feel, showing up as shame, anxiety, people-pleasing, or self-doubt. It can leave you feeling stuck and disconnected, with the past still impacting your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. You’re exhausted from carrying it all alone and wonder if you’ll ever find relief.

I believe most problems we experience are caused by a combination of two factors; carrying around too much from the past, and not taking good care of ourselves. The symptoms of Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Substance Abuse can all manifest from not cleaning up the past and from practicing poor self care in in the present. Using a variety of approaches including, Psychotherapy, Hypnosis, EMDR, and Process Work, we will together to shift this balance. As people get better at nurturing themselves and begin to let go of the weight of the past, they feel better.

Has anger caused problems in your relationships or personal life? Perhaps you've done therapy but can't seem to get a hold of this part of your life. I specialize in helping men and women understand the emotion of anger, and explore what's underneath this challenging emotion. Struggling with anger often means difficulty with relationships, anxiety, depression, or shame because anger is closely related to these other parts of your life. If you're looking to get to the root of your anger and learn how to regulate this emotion for the long term I would love to connect with you.

Throughout our life we have developed strategies to handle upheaval, loss, and struggle. These strategies, though well practiced, may no longer be serving us. Bronwyn offers a safe space to unpack historical experiences and present-day triggers. She encourages curiosity and self-awareness. She pulls from Hakomi, mindfulness, and neurobiology to tend to emotions, identify & adapt unhelpful thinking and behavior, and regulate the nervous system. Bronwyn's approach builds resiliency, offers new strategies in managing daily stressors/anxieties, helps respond to somatic (physical) symptoms, and nurtures your inner voice.
