I received my Bachelors and Masters in Flute Performance, and a Masters in Counseling with a concentration of Somatic Dance/Movement Therapy. I am also a demisexual, pansexual, ambi/polyamorous, non-binary woman, and first generation Chinese American. I first discovered the body and breath through flute, music, improvisation, and the strength of creativity, art, and performance as tools for moving through the world with intention and purpose, fun and play. My lived experience informs me on unconventional ways we all come to heal, grow, and walk through life together as humans.

You’re sick of having the same arguments over and over again. Little things spiral into big fights. Or worse, nothing gets said at all. You love each other, but something’s not working, and no matter how hard you try, nothing really changes. Maybe you grew up in a family where these things weren’t talked about—not with anyone, and certainly not with a therapist. Maybe in your culture, you just push through, keep going, make it work. You’re exhausted and don’t know how much longer you can keep going like this. If this is where you are, I want you to know it doesn’t have to stay this way.
