I believe psychotherapy can help with almost anything. Sometimes clients come in needing assistance with making a tough decision, while other times they’re needing tools to help better cope with anxiety or depression. I feel called to work with younger folks - children and adolescents specifically. I typically see children who are experiencing familial issues, ADHD, learning difficulties, and behavioral issues. Adolescence can be uncomfortable and confusing. It is a painful time for teenagers. I am deeply passionate about providing them with unconditional support, empathy, and a safe space to share their emotions.

There are times in life when one needs backup. Do not "go-it-alone" when it comes to life's challenges, but let me assist you on your path. The only constant in life is change and they come with personal, relational, and professional adjustments. Navigating the changes can be smoother with a trained professional behind you. We all have blind spots, even in the things we are best at doing. So trained perspective can help us discover them and tap into our inner wisdom to make our own decisions.

You’ve invested in your education, your career, and your growth. Therapy is an investment in the person behind the performance. Maybe you’re exhausted but can’t slow down. Maybe your mind never shuts off. Or perhaps you’ve achieved the milestones you worked so hard for… and still feel disconnected, irritable, or strangely unfulfilled. High achievers are often the last ones to ask for support. You’re used to handling things on your own. But therapy isn’t about weakness — it’s about optimization. It’s a strategic space to think clearly, recalibrate, and strengthen the internal foundation that supports everything you do.

Feeling sick and tired of feeling sick and tired? Feeling like nothing you do will ever be good enough? Like you’re chasing some unattainable goal where the goalpost keeps moving? Stuck frozen or overworking because you’re terrified of failure? Using substances (yes, caffeine, alcohol and weed counts) to keep grinding or just to chill out? I got you. I specialize in helping young Asian American and other BIPOC regulate their nervous system, figure out what really matters to them behind all the pressure, anxiety, and shame, and build a life that feels sustainable and authentic.

Schedule now through my website in my bio! Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself” (Rumi). As a trauma survivor on a personal healing journey, I learned how to help others simultaneously. Healing was hard work, but finding the right therapist was a huge piece of the puzzle. Traditional therapy fails so many trauma survivors. I aim to go beyond talk therapy to find the right modality for each unique client. It is a passion of mine to work with clients who face problems of trauma, stress, coping with depression, and anxiety such as military veterans, and survivors of abuse.

Biofeedback Therapists
Can biofeedback help with anxiety?
Biofeedback is often used to treat anxiety, including generalized anxiety disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. Anecdotal evidence and some research studies have found that it can improve symptoms of these disorders, sometimes significantly; however, studies on biofeedback have typically been small and researchers have cautioned that many have significant limitations, such as limited follow-up or a lack of a control group.

Is biofeedback evidence-based?
There is some evidence that biofeedback can effectively treat certain conditions; for example, its efficacy in treating headaches and urinary incontinence is generally thought to be well-established. There is also promising, but less conclusive, evidence that it can aid in stroke recovery or help someone manage a mental health disorder such as anxiety, depression, or ADHD.

What is the difference between biofeedback and neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that measures brain activity specifically; it is typically used to treat psychological or neurodevelopmental concerns such as ADHD, depression, insomnia, or autism spectrum disorder. Biofeedback is a broader category that, in addition to neurofeedback, also includes electromyogram, heart rate variability, and thermal biofeedback, each of which measures a particular physiological function (muscle activity, heart rate, and skin temperature, respectively)

What are the limitations of biofeedback?
While biofeedback may be helpful for certain conditions, its efficacy is less assured for others, such as high blood pressure. People with certain health conditions such as heart arrhythmia may not be able to benefit from biofeedback because their condition may interfere with the machines’ readings. Biofeedback can also be time-consuming and costly, and may not be covered by health insurance.
