I am a Licensed clinical mental health and substance use therapist with 12+ years of experience in person centered therapeutic strategies, trauma based work, and cognitive behavioral mindfulness. I believe that understanding how we interact within our own environment greatly impacts our thoughts, feelings, and actions. It is a privilege to work with you as we navigate and better understand our mental health.

I am a Colorado native and do my very best to live up to the stereotype! I love everything outdoors and try to spend as much time outside all year round, as I can. I am married and have two dogs, as well as a baby girl on the way. I enjoy reading, crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time with family. My Bachelor's is from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in Psychology & Neuroscience and my Master's is from Argosy University, Chicago.

I offer individual therapy for women and parents who are looking to dive deeper into why their lives aren’t currently working for them. I enjoy working with people recovering from traumatic events, unhealthy or abusive relationships, or substance use disorders/addictions. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment therapy and EMDR frameworks and techniques to help you create a life more aligned with your values in a non-judgmental, warm and welcoming environment.

My approach to providing therapeutic services is grounded in being person centered. Each person has the potential for health, however, life provides challenges that are barriers to overcome. Sometimes getting stuck in cycles prevents the perspective needed to name the challenges, and also look at new ways to overcome these challenges.

I believe that play is essential to a child's growing and learning process as children naturally communicate through play. Play therapy can be utilized as a way for children and adolescents to express themselves, explore and process their experiences and feelings through play/art. I am here to partner with you and your family to support in growing a child or adolescent's ability to process through, cope and regulate with difficult life transitions, school related difficulties, emotional and behavioral challenges, grief/loss, social skills, attachment, trauma and self-exploration.

Our ideal client is an LGBTQ+ or queer young person aged 10-24 who is looking to be supported in their mental health and wellness journey. We offer tele-health (across Colorado) and a case-by-case in person sessions (Denver Metro Area).

When we experience anxiety and stress it is not uncommon to feel like our lives are unraveling and we are no longer in control. My passion is to bring healing and change to people who experience excessive worry and fear, anxiety and stress. I guide my clients to find a healthier perspective of themselves, others, and the world around them. I help them strengthen their relationships so they begin to feel more capable and safe with who they are and what they do.

My training for my doctorate was in child and family clinical practice and I obtained post-doctoral training in forensic psychology. I also received over 300 hour of training at the Neurosculpting Institute. In addition to my clinical and forensic practice, I have provided consultation services in such settings as Head Start, Federal Corrections, and Child Protection Services and for agencies serving the developmentally disabled. A large part of my practice has always included providing psychotherapy for children, adolescents, couples, and families. I have been married for over 30 years and have seven children.

As a licensed clinical social worker who has practiced over 20 years in a variety of settings, I believe in the individual's ability to rise above and evolve. My experience includes geriatric care management and guardianship, medical social work, K-12 school social work, home health care, dialysis, and psychotherapy. These experiences have shaped my client-centered healing approach. I incorporate mind-body therapy, Internal Family Systems, the Safe and Sound Protocol, and cognitive behavioral therapy as techniques to support self improvement, trauma processing, emotional regulation, and personal awareness.

Ideally I like to work with those that have symptoms of developmental trauma, complex trauma, and those trying to deepen their understanding of themselves while being open to trying new things. They would have goals to not only heal from their trauma, but are also interested in learning about their triggers and the impact it has on their lives. I work with a wide variety of clients currently, and am especially good at working with teens. I am great at building rapport and allowing my clients to show up as their authentic selves in every session.
