I am a believer that we do not always get to choose our experiences. Many of them are neither asked for nor deserved, and we get no choice but to deal with the fallout. All of us are simply doing the best we can with what we have, and I want to make that easier for you. My specialty is treating PTSD, I have a very wide range of experience working with individuals who have been incarcerated, victims of abuse, first responders, veterans, and others. I have experience treating other issues as well including depression, anxiety, grief, and other problematic disorders.

My practice is primarily focused on people struggling with traumatic experiences and substance use. Over the last 14 years I have worked primarily with military veterans. My goal is to help clients process experiences, better understand stressors, and help identify effective ways to cope. In sessions, clients will find warmth, compassion, and a focus on what is most important to them.

When was the last time you felt safe? When you could really relax, and not worry about anything? Sometimes, the impacts of trauma are clear. The constant tension, panic, nightmares... Other signs of trauma can be trickier to recognize. Maybe you feel like you always have to be perfect. Maybe you don't know how to let yourself be vulnerable around others. Trauma can make it hard to speak up for yourself, can convince you that you are unlovable, or drive you to serve others while ultimately neglecting yourself. It can even make you sick or feel pain.
