I have worked with adults of all ages and adolescents in a variety of settings using multiple treatment modalities. I traditionally use psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in gaining skills and meeting their desired outcome goals. Utilizing individual, couples, family, and play therapy I strive to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety and a myriad of disorders, diseases and phobias. My primary objective while working with any client is to create a safe environment to process their journey, and for people to be the center of initiative in their own lives.

ADHD, Neurodiversity, anxiety, sadness, procrastination, restless sleep, social media, impulsivity, etc
My mindfulness based approach includes implementation of the body/mind connection, and is informed by my training in nutrition as well as psychology. I have found that feeding the body is just as important as feeding the mind so I can help you towards feeling better from multiple methods and often more quickly than psychotherapy alone.

It isn't always easy to reach outside of ourselves when we are feeling deeply lonely and experiencing extreme emotions. These are precisely the times, though, when it makes sense to try to find people with whom we can talk without too much fear of judgment or rejection. In my role as Therapist, I actively commit to strive to be one of those people; to meet you wherever you are emotionally, in a comfortable, confidential and respectful setting.

Hi, I'm Travis. With more than 18 years of experience in talk and behavior therapy, I’m dedicated to providing counseling that is thoughtfully tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I believe the effectiveness of therapy depends largely on the connection between counselor and client. Without a strong therapeutic relationship, meaningful growth can be difficult to achieve. For this reason, creating a safe, supportive, and balanced environment is central to my approach. My goal is to provide compassionate, judgment-free counseling that combines evidence-based interventions with a genuine and supportive therapeutic relationship.

Helping you navigate messy life shifts, career dread, dealing with that awkward situationship, and the things we're usually too polite to talk about (like painful sex).
New city, new job, or a job you secretly hate? It’s exhausting. Trying to make friends or date as an adult in Denver? Genuinely awkward and honestly, swiping right is just a bit much. If you’re dealing with Genito-Pelvic Pain/Penetration Disorder (GPPPD/vaginismus), the shame, guilt, and fear can make you feel completely isolated. You don't have to navigate the chaos alone.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.
Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.
Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.
What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
