You’re juggling a lot—maybe work, school, family, or just trying to keep your head above water. You show up for everyone else but haven’t had space to focus on yourself. Things like anxiety, burnout, past trauma, or grief keep piling up, and it’s hard to know where to start. You’re not looking for a quick fix—you just want to feel understood, supported, and like you’re actually making progress toward feeling better.

I have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient, residential, and inpatient; and with a variety of populations, including adults, adolescents, and children experiencing depressive, anxiety, trauma/stressor, disruptive/impulse-control, substance, or personality disorders.
Presently, I specialize in adolescents and adults experiencing depressive, anxiety, or personality symptoms. These symptoms can be so paralyzing and affect, not only individuals, but the people individuals relate to. For me, it is deeply satisfying to see people free themselves from these symptoms.

Sometimes having someone just listen is important, no judgement, just a person who is involved and compassionate about the issues that are important to you. The need to feel heard and understood is often overlooked and a needed part in working through life's toughest moments. The goal of therapy is to find yourself through looking at yourself and building a foundation. This could be the use of coping skills, talk therapy, and setting goals that are important to yourself. Navigating different issues and working through them is often tough enough, having someone guide you and help you through these moments is needed.

Is your trauma making it difficult for you to feel stable in your life and relationships? Let's work together to break out of your self-sabotaging cycles so that you can feel safe, aligned, and peaceful in your life and relationships. Maybe this is you… -You question if you are capable of a deeply safe and loving relationship -You and your partner trigger each other's wounds making connection difficult -You feel stuck in patterns of over-giving, over-apologizing, or shutting down -You walk on eggshells never sure when the ground beneath you will shift If this is you, I get it. I’ve been there. And I’m with you in this.

It often takes incredible courage to seek support when facing difficulties! Life can throw a lot at us that can leave us feeling discouraged, alone, and unsure of how to approach things. Taking the brave step of reaching out for therapy, we can start the journey towards processing experiences, identifying barriers and patterns, and exploring strategies and resources for finding a way forward.

If you are dealing with mental health issues that don't seem to be resolving with traditional weekly talk therapy. An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) might be beneficial. An IOP can provide skills to help with Emotional Regulation, Coping Stragegies, Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Conflict Resolution and Mindfulness. Often medications may be necessary to help with symptom relief, our practice provides psychiatric assessments and medication management for those needing medications.

Our psychiatric nurse practitioner team includes providers who are LGBTQIA2+ community members, BIPOC clinicians, and neurodiverse humans. Our psychiatric nurse practitioners do things differently — longer appointments, real questions, trauma-informed medication management for anxiety, depression, mood disorders, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, and serious mental illnesses. We've built Forest Path for those who have stopped believing psychiatry can actually help them — rushed through 10-minute appointments, told their needs were too complex, over-medicated. Humans ARE complex, and we have a team honored to hold it all.

I believe in the power of telling and owning our stories. We all have different experiences that shape the way we view our lives and the world around us. My heart is for people and giving them the space to safely share their story and process through the experiences they have, both joyous and difficult.

Personality Disorders Therapists
What are the common treatment options for personality disorders?
Personality disorders are typically treated with psychotherapy, sometimes in conjunction with medication. Therapy can help people with personality disorders develop skills to tolerate difficult emotions, navigate interpersonal relationships, and solidify their sense of self. Medications can treat symptoms that co-occur with the disorder, such as depression, anger, aggression, and impulsivity.

When to seek treatment for personality disorders?
Even though treatment for personality disorders can be an uphill battle, it’s best to seek help if you suspect that you or a loved one is struggling with one, because personality disorders can create substantial problems in life. Symptoms depend on the specific disorder, but overall signs of personality disorders include consistent difficulty maintaining close relationships, dramatic variations in self-esteem, and an unstable sense of identity.

How long does therapy take for personality disorders?
The timeline for treating personality disorders isn’t as clear-cut as it is for other disorders. Change can be difficult, taking from around one year to five, 10, or more. The key is finding a therapist who has extensive experience treating the relevant disorder. For example, a psychologist who specializes in narcissistic personality disorder has specific communication strategies that allow them to sustain the relationship and be more effective with narcissistic patients.

Can therapy help people with personality disorders?
Research suggests that for those who are motivated to address concerns or interpersonal conflict related to a personality disorder, therapy is far more effective than no treatment, and that most people in therapy see improvements. However, since personality disorders involve entrenched elements of identity, they are less responsive to treatment than are other mental health conditions. Finding an expert who has extensive experience working with a given personality disorder is one factor that increases the likelihood of successful treatment.
