Life can be filled with heartbreak(s), disappointments, and frustrations that lead one to feel hopeless and filled with despair. Unfortunately, during this time, we feel alone, or we fear no one understands what we are going through. The veil of resilience and compassion is important and necessary to put our skills in perspective to help give clarity in any situation. My approach to mental health patients is centered around empathy, respect, evidence-based support, and non-judgmental communication.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Metropolitan State College of Denver, followed by a Master of Science in Social Work Degree in 2010 from Newman University. I spent the next 8 1/2 years working for Child Protective Services, specializing in child sexual abuse, working with both victims and offenders. For the past 12 years, I have worked at a crisis line, speaking with clients over the phone. These calls could be anything from someone being lonely and needing to talk to someone to someone being actively suicidal.

Many parents reach out when their child is struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, social challenges, or regulation difficulties. I work with highly sensitive and neurodivergent children ages 3–12 and their families. I create a warm, supportive space where children feel safe to be themselves while helping parents better understand and support their child’s unique needs. Together, we build stronger connection, confidence, and emotional resilience.

Schedule instantly on my website link in my profile! In a world where cultural norms, systems, and institutions are actively hostile to our wellness, the pursuit of wellness is a revolutionary act. Resistance to oppression, both in the form of external systems and the internalization of the wounds we carry from the past, is a high calling, requiring earnestness, courage, and strength. We all have the power to overcome, and none of us has to do it alone.

Let's work together on your problems, identify some goals, and make a plan to get you to a better place. I have a lot of therapeutic tools and techniques to draw from. Which ones will be most helpful is the big question. What are you ready to do now? In good therapy will talk about things they don't want to talk about, and feel things they don't want to feel as part of their healing. And where do we go from there?
