Are you feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges? Feeling at a loss as to how to manage so many emotions at once? Perhaps you are adjusting to an important transition, such as graduating, getting a new job, or moving. Maybe you have experienced life circumstances you did not foresee, such as loss of a loved-one. Sometimes we are not prepared for what life throws in our direction, which can lead us to feel anxious, isolated, insecure or depressed. Not a fun feeling, right? By coming to therapy, we can work on helping you feel more at ease with navigating these hardships. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

As a former combat pilot turned therapist, I bring a rare combination of grit, warmth, and lived experience to this work. My years in the U.S. Air Force and as a military spouse gave me a firsthand understanding of what it means to navigate high-pressure environments, constant change, and the quiet weight that builds when there’s no space to process any of it.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! Do you ever think to yourself, "What's wrong with me?" or "How come I cannot snap out of it?" Let me tell you, there is nothing wrong with you and you simply cannot snap out of it. There are a lot of social stigmas when we have emotional struggles; we internalize these beliefs. Sometimes, we resist seeking treatment because it can be seen as a weakness because of underlying trauma or experience. This worsens over time whether you are depressed, anxious, fearful, frustrated, resentful, or angry. I believe many of us want to have understanding, support, empathy, and new coping methods.

Four hours of sleep, 20 minutes late to work, and five espresso shots later…you’re day has started. And it’s come with a ton of anxiety and negative thoughts. The “fun” part? It doesn’t stop there - it bleeds into your day and evening - more tense moments with the kids, drinks to cope, and struggling to just BE. And sure, if this kind of day only happened here and there, that would be doable. But when it feels like this has been your usual for way too long…it sucks. And all you want…is some relief. Just to rest, to feel settled and at ease in your own body…your own life. And you can absolutely have this.

"I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become." In today's world, people can be ambushed by any number of experiences that can leave us drained, exhausted, and feeling like it's hard to move forward. Counseling can be an outlet for individuals to sort through what they're feeling, and get perspective, and assistance, and most of all, a certainty that someone is listening; that your voice is being heard.
