Navigating the immigration process can feel overwhelming. Your lawyer is handling the legal side, but you’re left feeling anxious, confused, and scared that the only home you’ve ever known could be taken from you. You search for answers, and that’s where I come in. An Immigration Psychological Evaluation can provide critical support for your case. This could be the key factor in keeping your family together rather than torn apart. Whether you're seeking asylum, facing hardship, applying for a waiver, or proving the emotional impact of separation, I take the time to provide a comprehensive evaluation. You don’t have to do this alone.

Are you a man stuck in constant tension with your wife, unsure how to fix what’s gone sideways? I’m David, and I work with men who are tired of shutting down, losing their cool, or feeling like they can’t win. If the same arguments keep showing up and nothing you try seems to land, we’ll get to the root of what’s going on and start moving forward with clarity and strength.

I am an evidence based clinician that prioritizes patient education to empower my clients to work toward treatment goals. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings and I strongly believe that a good foundation to therapy starts with a strong therapeutic alliance with a therapist. I value rapport building and taking the time to learn my clients.

I work best with people who feel deeply, those who are intuitive, aware, and often the “strong one” for everyone else, yet inside feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or alone. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship pain, or life transitions like separation or identity shifts. Some come in knowing exactly what hurts, while others just feel that something isn’t right and want to understand themselves on a deeper level.

I am, first and foremost, a highly trained Christian Therapist. For over thirty years I have worked with couples, individuals, and families helping put an anchor back into their lives. As a Marriage and Family Therapist who is licensed in both Colorado and California, I have two Masters degrees: a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Masters of Divinity (a three-year ministerial academic training) both earned from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California that has been coined “The Princeton of the West”. I use a "systems" approach to marriage and family therapy which means I view each person as part of a whole.

You may be highly capable, self-aware, and committed to growth, yet still find yourself stuck in emotional patterns, relationship challenges, or a sense something deeper has not fully shifted. I am a depth-oriented psychotherapist integrating contemplative and spiritual traditions with evidence-based clinical practice. I work with individuals & couples, including those navigating neurodiversity and relational complexity, seeking a midlife reset into greater aliveness, clarity, and possibility in life and relationship. Using IFS, EMDR, & IFIO, we work at the level where patterns form.

I find therapy most potent, important, and meaningful when there is a mix of: compassion, non-judgment, curiosity, and choicefulness.
From my training in Somatic Counseling/Body Psychotherapy, I make use of my own body, and body-based (somatic-) tracking, applied moment-to-moment with clients. Sometimes this may look like noticing the breath, or bringing attention to feelings & sensations, when something—that may have been stowed psychically out-of-sight yet not out-of-reach—shifts.
There are many further toolboxes of somatic (and other!) keys that expand the range, and richness, of what therapy together—beyond talk—can include.
