I specialize in treating sexual addiction and partners of sexual addicts and Intimacy Anorexics, PTSD and trauma issues. I offer individual, marital and group counseling. I treat women that are in difficult relationships with sexual addicts and intimacy anorexics by offering behavioral techniques along with coping skills. I teach appropriate boundaries in all relationships such as partners, family members, friends and co-workers. I address low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, anger issues that interfere with their primary relationships. I also treat childhood trauma. Using evidence-based therapeutic models, clients learn to identify anxious thoughts tied to their core beliefs. By replacing the anxious thoughts with what is true about them, relief from anxiety occurs. I validate people’s experiences while helping them uncover the truth about their inherent value and worth in order to re-frame their problems and discover solutions to them. I focus on what clients believe about themselves and how they shape their behavior emphasizing solutions not problems. Since being licensed I have had additional training and am currently a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and a Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist (CMAT) Alcohol/Chemical Dependency. I have been married for 44 years, raised 4 healthy adults and enjoy my grandchildren.
