Trauma can make us feel disconnected from those around us. Our minds are phenomenal at adjusting to even the most extreme circumstances, but sometimes it is difficult to return to a normal way of functioning even after the threat is gone. Sometimes our lives have been so filled with trauma that we can't even define what "normal" is. All we know is that we feel alone, anxious, perhaps even caught up in cycles of behaviors that we know are destructive but just can't seem to stop. I take a "fellow traveler" approach to healing, accompanying you on your journey to heal wounds and form lasting relationships with others.
