I especially enjoy working with recovering people-pleasers, new parents, those trying to better manage their anxiety, and couples.
Welcome to my page. It is so important to find a therapist you feel is a good fit for you! As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, relationships are my bread and butter. I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and relationship challenges. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Synergetic Play Therapist & Supervisor, I work with kids, teens, and parents (what parent doesn't need support?) to help clients get real change without spending years in therapy (the average number of sessions is 15!).
Fed up and frustrated by your child's behaviors? Do you worry that deep down there is something wrong? I promise you there's not, but sometimes it's hard to shake that feeling! Maybe some days you feel like throwing in the towel or you're just tired of feeling like you don't know what to do anymore. If you're feeling discouraged, helpless, or exhausted and aren't sure where to turn next . . . I get it! Finding a therapist is hard. Reaching out for help feels vulnerable. You've probably already tried everything you can think of and you feel stuck. Don't keep waiting. I can help you take the first step!

I specialize in working with women during pregnancy, postpartum, and the early years of parenting.
I work with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood. Many feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unlike themselves after welcoming a baby. They may be adjusting to sleep deprivation, identity shifts, relationship changes, or the pressure to “do it all well.” Some are experiencing postpartum anxiety or depression, while others feel stretched and need a place to process this season. I offer a warm, steady space to slow down, make sense of what you're carrying, and move forward with more clarity and support. And for those who desire it, Christ-centered care that gently integrates faith into the healing process is available.

Are you a hard working and motivated parent that worries about your kids?
While using a strength based approach I will help parents to understand the reason for their child's misbehavior. I will also teach the child better coping skills and appropriate ways to communicate their feelings. This will allow the child to experience more success.

Sometimes life sucks and maybe you don't know why or you think you should be able to handle everything that comes your way. Maybe you work hard to appear strong to those looking in from the outside but are struggling and suffering on the inside. Why do we constantly feel the need to pretend everything is okay? Or maybe we aren't pretending but we don't know what to do or how to change anything. Shame, grief, anger, fear, loneliness, and sadness all have a way of knocking us off our center and causing us the lose the ability to stay grounded and feel like ourselves. We all deserve help, we just need to know how to find it.

I spend a lot of my time working with teens and the parents who care about them, especially moms carrying a lot behind the scenes.
Most people who reach out aren’t in crisis. They’re tired. Something in life or at home isn’t working the way it used to, and the usual conversations aren’t getting anywhere. Maybe your teen has pulled away, emotions are running high, or you feel like you’re constantly trying to help but nothing seems to land. It can feel frustrating, confusing, and at times discouraging. Therapy becomes a place to slow things down, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin moving forward in a way that actually works.

I take an eclectic, strengths-based approach to treating attachment, trauma, anxiety, depression, challenging behavior issues, parenting, existential crises, divorce recovery, and spiritual formation.
Our life’s journey begins the moment our heart begins to beat. Our path is marked by significant people and experiences impacting our attachment, mindset, and worldview. Some are positive and some are painful, both leaving a lasting impression that reflect in our identity, self-esteem, and sense of purpose. I seek to walk alongside my clients as they find meaning in those relationships and experiences. I am considerate of the story my clients have to tell and offer a compassionate space to meet them where they are, and offer an authentic therapeutic relationship.

My ideal clients are parents of children and teens who aren’t making the progress they could, often because support at home doesn’t yet match what the child needs.
As a BCBA, I focus on the “missing link” between insight and follow-through. Rather than adding more strategies, I help you implement what actually works day-to-day—adjusting in real time so changes stick beyond the session.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
