I’m glad you’re here. I see individuals, and couples with varying life struggles including anxiety, depression, addiction & codependency, low self esteem, etc. I assist those who are ready to tackle the underlying issues keeping them stuck. Coming from a traumatic background I've had to do a great deal of my own healing. Starting the healing journey was a very difficult process, however, in identifying a great support system and seeking therapeutic services on my own I was able to experience tremendous growth and change. You are not alone and it is possible to experience healthy change and heal old wounds. I am eclectic in my therapeutic approach and use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, Play Therapy Techniques, Integrative Gestalt Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and psycho-education to individuals ages two and up.

My therapeutic philosophy begins with cultivating safety and trust within the client/counselor relationship. I truly believe that it is vital to build a strong foundation. I believe that is important because, as a therapist, I understand that I am entering your private world. This is a deep and sacred trust. It is important to me that my clients know that whether or not that trust has been violated by others in the past, I will create a sanctuary in which those hurts that have created trauma, anxiety, depression, etc., can be explored, understood and, as we face that pain together, we can find healing and restoration.

My ideal client is one who feels that they are stuck and has found it hard to find a way out. They are seeking purpose and are tired of living an unfulfilled life. They may have made some mistakes and need assistance on the journey of reconciliation. They could be dealing with a loss so detrimental that it has halted any forward progress in life and they now need to understand the new person they will become. They could have suffered tremendously at the hands of others and the pain of the past is still present and they need to find away to make sense of it all. My ideal client has been afflicted with the human condition.

We all strive to be better versions of ourselves. We all need connection, purpose, and meaning to facilitate growth and inspire the change we long for in our lives. I enjoy working with people who are motivated, open, and genuinely curious to learn more about themselves. By allowing the unconscious to become conscious, it can help you experience greater freedom and agency in your life. What obstacles are currently preventing you from having happier, healthier relationships and becoming the best version of yourself? Together we will work to understand your individual needs and learn how to help you attain your therapeutic goals.

Finding your next step can be Confusing, Intimidating, Daunting. Seeking professional assistance for life's many complicated twists is a sign of mature humility. I have heard, "therapy is for broken people" and this could not be farther from the truth. Therapy is a window into a healthier life, ripe with clearer goals and personal accomplishments, more accountability, greater dreams, and significantly more rewarding relationships. TAKING the decision to speak with someone allows access to evidence-based, efficient, effective tools you can use the rest of your life - once you find your meaning and purpose, all else falls into place.

I provide online therapy for men in Colorado dealing with stress, burnout, anxiety, relationship strain, and chronic pain. Many of the men I work with are used to pushing through, staying composed, and handling things on their own. On the outside, you may look like you’re functioning well, but internally you may feel tense, irritable, shut down, disconnected, or unable to fully relax.

My approach is always person-centered. I want to help clients build from their own strengths, values, and goals. We will take our time. We will work to build trust. As we progress we can explore difficult questions and choices. With trust, compassion, & confidence comes clarity and the chance to make real changes in our lives. I have worked in trauma therapy and crisis treatment. I have sat across from people during difficult conversations and intense realizations and I have seen the relief, confidence, and joy that can follow. I want you to experience this as well, no matter what you face.

I am passionate about psychology and aim to provide effective assistance for those struggling with mental health. I focus on humanistic, critical, and community psychology. I value the importance regarding individuals personal and lived experiences with mental health. Therefore, work to assist individuals in understanding this.

Music Therapy
How does music therapy work?
A music therapist will begin by assessing the client’s specific needs and getting a sense of their musical ability and interests. Musical training is not required, and clients of all ages can benefit from this type of therapy. The therapist will then make a plan for how to achieve the client’s therapeutic goal(s) using a range of receptive (e.g., listening to a song) and active (e.g., drumming in a group) music therapy techniques.

What are some common music therapy techniques?
Music therapy usually involves listening to music (either live or recorded). Music therapy clients may also make music on popular instruments, such as the piano, guitar, and hand drum, or sing. Sometimes music therapy can include guided imagery. A music therapist may ask clients to improvise on the spot or even compose their own songs. Dancing or moving to music can be an effective intervention to help clients feel more fully grounded in their bodies and remain in the present moment.

How does music therapy help with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)?
Music therapy can be a valuable creative outlet for clients with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) who have trouble putting their painful feelings into words. Listening to music can be relaxing while making music as part of a group provides plenty of opportunities to connect with other people. In addition to its mood-boosting effects, music therapy can help clients build resilience and overcome PTSD symptoms that may interfere with their daily lives.

How long does music therapy take?
Music therapy sessions generally last between 30 and 50 minutes. They can be scheduled in advance (for example, once a week) or can be done on an as-needed basis. Some clients will only require a handful of music therapy sessions to achieve their goals, while others may need months or longer, depending on their specific concern.
