After moving to CO I worked in a Christian Psych unit and later got my LPC.
Quote: "It's never too late to become who you were meant to be." T.S. Eliot. What are your words, your stories? What or who in your life would you like to be different? What's in the way of you living in the "more" of your life? It's my privilege to work with men and women who have experienced relational issues, family struggles, betrayal, abuse, broken hearts, shattered dreams, unexpected loss, trauma and brokenness. For some it's hope deferred. Are you one who has lost your way and forgotten who you are? Let's talk. I can speak from my own journey to say there is hope.

You’re the one everyone relies on. The responsible one. The strong one. The one who keeps it all together—even when it feels like too much. If you’re a caregiver or someone who struggles with anxiety, you may be used to putting yourself last. You push through, overthink, and carry more than most people realize. And even when things look “fine” on the outside, your mind doesn’t shut off, your body feels tense, and it’s hard to truly relax. I specialize in working with caregivers and high-functioning individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and emotionally exhausted.

My therapeutic philosophy begins with cultivating safety and trust within the client/counselor relationship. I truly believe that it is vital to build a strong foundation. I believe that is important because, as a therapist, I understand that I am entering your private world. This is a deep and sacred trust. It is important to me that my clients know that whether or not that trust has been violated by others in the past, I will create a sanctuary in which those hurts that have created trauma, anxiety, depression, etc., can be explored, understood and, as we face that pain together, we can find healing and restoration.

No matter how heavy the path feels right now—whether you're struggling in your relationship or trying to heal from the past, my goal is to provide a space where you feel truly heard and deeply supported. I combine my clinical training with a compassionate heart, ensuring you have both the professional tools and the emotional safety you need to move forward. In addition to traditional talk therapy, you may be working with intuitive horses in the peaceful Black Forest, expressing the unspoken through art, or finding a new rhythm together on the dance floor. These allow us to move beyond words and into the heart of your healing.

Let’s be honest. Life is messy. And pretending it’s not? Exhausting. If you’re looking for a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out, welcome. You might be holding more than you can carry. Maybe you’re functioning just fine on the outside, but inside it’s chaos. Or maybe things aren’t fine, and you’re sick of pretending they are. Maybe you’ve been through it. Maybe you’re just stuck in your own head. Maybe you’ve hit a breaking point. Or maybe you’re just tired of doing everything alone. Whatever your story is, you don’t need to explain why you’re here. You just get to be here.

As a relational person, I believe that my connection with a client is an honor. I see pain as an unavoidable part of the human experience, but believe that suffering is optional. No matter your story, I hold hope that freedom and peace are possible. I believe there isn't a person you couldn't love if you understood their story. If you are struggling with the impact of childhood or recent trauma in your life, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, anger, eating disorders, attachment and intimacy difficulties, or recovery from narcissistic abuse; and don't mind a person walking alongside you, I'd love to meet you.

Your mind never shuts off. You’ve reflected, Googled coping skills, maybe even been to therapy before. You have insight and awareness, but still feel stuck. You replay conversations, second-guess yourself, and hold yourself to impossibly high standards, yet somehow still feel like you’re not quite “good enough.” From the outside, you seem put together. Internally, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or just tired of carrying it all. It’s exhausting.

My commitment is to help others heal from the grief, pain, disappointments, and impacts of life with the depression and anxiety that often ensues and to help them create their own solid foundation and vision of wholeness. We can and do recover from our griefs, whether loss of a loved one, a pet, job changes/losses/stresses, divorce, childhood trauma, aging, loss of health/mobility, our own mistakes and the sometime harsh actions of others toward us. It’s a worthy journey to heal the broken places and emerge whole.

Hi, Life can be really hard, but you do not have to do it alone. I became a therapist because there is nothing I am more passionate about than walking alongside those that need space to be loved, heard, and seen. I desire to help, whether through a listening ear or an encouraging word. I want to create a space where you feel safe to be unapologetically you and work through whatever you are facing.

You have tried to change. You grit your teeth and power through. You convince yourself that you are “fine”, but honestly, everything feels as crappy as it did before. You want to be and behave differently…what if all you need is a little guidance? What if your brain and body could do what they were designed to do…and healed themselves? You might have found this page and this profile with a head and heart full of doubt and you’re wondering if therapy is total bunk. I hear you. It can certainly seem that way, sometimes...but what if it’s not?

We are constantly bombarded with messages telling us that we need to do it all on our own. I have good news- you are not alone and you don't have to do it on your own! We all have a deep desire to be fully known and fully loved. It is my belief that we can't be fully known and loved by others until we fully know and love ourselves. Having a strong sense of identity and purpose allows us to heal, forgive, and move forward with clarity, hope, and tenacity.

Christian Therapists
Why is it important for a therapist to be culturally sensitive?
Therapists and clients don’t need to share the same belief system or background to be able to work effectively together, but a therapist whose training includes a focus on cultural competence may be better able to form a therapeutic bond with individuals from a range of backgrounds, as they will have experience in tailoring their approach to each client—and will be prepared to acknowledge and consider the effects of culture, religion, and other factors on each individual.

Why is it important to find a therapist sensitive to Christian values?
Each person brings a unique history and background to therapy, making it important to find a licensed therapist who is trained in a broad range of treatment modalities. In addition, for people who grow up in a faith tradition that strongly influences the way they conduct their everyday life, finding a therapist who understands or shares that background can ease the disclosure of sensitive information and facilitate the therapeutic process. For some clients, a Christian therapist is likely to incorporate faith-based principles into emotional healing techniques.

How do I recognize an effective Christian therapist?
Christian therapists are licensed mental health professionals—holding a master’s or doctoral degree in medicine, nursing, psychology, counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy—who are also familiar with Christian beliefs and values. They have an understanding of the importance that Christian principles play in the lives of individuals and families, which allows them to be especially sensitive to the kinds of struggles that can affect daily functioning. Like all effective therapists, a Christian therapist will have undergone training and certification in a variety of treatment modalities that help people through crises and enable them to master the challenges of life.

Why might someone feel comfortable with a Christian therapist?
While training, qualifications, and experience are always important, research has long established that a strong alliance between client and therapist is a major contributor to therapeutic success. An alliance is likely to be strengthened with a therapist who not only is responsive to questions and concerns but also shares a client’s faith and values. Sensitivity to spiritual matters as well as to everyday struggles can provide a welcome sense of safety and contribute to the bond between client and therapist, both of which support the therapeutic process.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Christian therapists?
The directory of Christian therapists includes professionals who have shared their background in their profiles. However, not all therapists choose to disclose this information, and they may not appear in search results for this reason. The directory also shows therapists who indicate that they have extensive experience working with Christian clients, regardless of their own background or religious affiliation.
