For adults, I use neurodivergent-informed approaches that focus on building coping skills and self-compassion.
I work best with people who are ready to make changes in their life. I enjoy helping adults and children work through the complexities of neurodivergence. Clients who work with me work to build compassion for themselves, or maybe even their children.

My ideal clients are parents of children and teens who aren’t making the progress they could, often because support at home doesn’t yet match what the child needs. Families come in feeling stuck—dealing with school avoidance, emotional outbursts, shutdown, or ongoing power struggles. I work directly with caregivers to clarify what’s driving behavior and coach real-time, practical responses. Together, we build strategies that reduce conflict, increase consistency, and help progress carry over across home and school.

Carl Rogers said, “People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be.” Carl Rogers' words have influenced my approach to therapy. Every client has unique challenges and perspective that requires unique therapy. I combine Person Centered Therapy, Behavior Therapy, and Play Therapy techniques. When working with adolescents and adults, I approach our work through a Person Centered lens and believe you are the expert in your own life. Children sometimes struggle in a traditional therapy session, I provide Child Centered Play Therapy for children indicated for that modality and I am also a Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider.

I work with clients navigating complex trauma, attachment wounds, and identity struggles as queer or neurodivergent individuals.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in old patterns, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together? Maybe depression makes it hard to find joy, or past hurt keeps showing up in your relationships. If your identity feels misunderstood or you’re exhausted from navigating neurodivergence without support, these experiences aren’t signs of failure — they’re signs you deserve a compassionate guide. You’ve taken a difficult step by looking here. You deserve a space where your full experience — not just your struggles — is understood and honored.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or like you're carrying more than anyone can see — please know that your pain is real, and you are not alone. What you’re feeling makes sense in light of what you’ve been through. You deserve compassion, healing, and space to breathe, even when the world has made you feel otherwise. There is strength in surviving, and even more in allowing yourself to seek care. If you're feeling anxious, low, or stuck in the weight of past pain, please know that you are not broken — you're human.

I work with clients who may be struggling with ADHD, Autism, chronic pain, and/or eating disorders.
When life is painful, it’s understandable to fall into a cycle of avoidance, non- acceptance, and suffering. My approach is about learning to accept what’s beyond your control, facing up to what’s causing you pain, and finding ways to make life feel meaningful. I love working with neurodivergent adults and people in recovery from eating disorders. If you feel like you can’t get your life together, no matter how hard you try, I would love to work with you! My approach is gentle but directive, warm and humorous, and above all, non-judgmental.

I work with a wide range of clients, including veterans, first responders, neurodivergent individuals, and those struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, or BPD.
My approach is rooted in the belief that true healing happens when we reconnect with the wisdom of our bodies and the parts of ourselves that have learned to protect us. I integrate somatic practices, parts work (such as Internal Family Systems), and EMDR to support nervous system regulation and emotional healing.

Autism Therapists
What is the most effective treatment for autism?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has come to be considered the standard treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder, and research has confirmed its effectiveness for many children. Therapists trained in ABA techniques work with children (and their parents) on developing social skills, communication and learning abilities, and everyday habits of hygiene and grooming. The clinician will tailor their program to the child’s particular need but the overarching goal will be to help them advance as far as possible toward independence based on their level of symptoms and decrease the need for additional special services. Families should seek a mental health professional specifically trained in ABA, and holding special certification in the technique, who has extensive experience not only with the approach but in using it with children with the same level of symptoms as the child who needs care.

How does ABA work?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) sessions, which typically focus on positive reinforcement, can be intensive, lasting two or more hours several times a week, and continuing for two years or more. Therapists can also be expected to ask parents to take an active role in reinforcing lessons. Research has found that the technique can lead to major improvements that decrease the need for additional special services.

How does treatment for autism work?
Therapy sessions based on Applied Behavior Analysis will likely be frequent, intensive, and highly structured. After a thorough assessment, a therapist will help a child understand and develop skills in a range of areas, including communication, motor skills, social skills, self-care, play, and academic skills, as well as routines of daily living like hygiene. Typically, the therapist will help a child break down the components of a behavior—often referred to as the antecedent (what prompts an action), the behavior, and the consequence(what immediately follows)—and then reward the child at every step, while also asking parents to reinforce the lessons, and the rewards, throughout the day. This core therapy may be supplemented by occupational or speech therapy, and antidepressants, antipsychotics, and anticonvulsants may be prescribed to address specific severe symptoms.

How long does therapy for autism take?
Some people with autism spectrum disorder may be engaged in some level of therapy for many years, but research shows that treatment will be most effective if it is begun early and delivered intensively. When therapy begins by age 3, children tend to be better able to grasp and adopt the skills needed to manage everyday life, including attending school and establishing social relationships. This type of early-intervention treatment regimen is highly structured, typically involving 20 to 40 hours of one-on-one therapy per week, along with additional hours of engagement managed by parents, for a period of two years or more, although the duration of treatment is dependent on the child’s level of symptoms and pace of progress.
