If you’re anything like me and the humans I’ve worked with, you’re probably used to inner chaos. Feeling all the feelings and having no idea what to do with them all. You’ve probably been told (or tell yourself) that you’re “too emotional” or “too sensitive.” Maybe you’ve internalized a mean inner critic, didn’t always get the support you needed, people pleased until the point of burn out, or felt chronically misunderstood. You’re in the right place! I believe that the most transformation stems from the power of the therapeutic relationship. Together, we’ll create a space where all of you is welcomed!

My therapeutic philosophy begins with cultivating safety and trust within the client/counselor relationship. I truly believe that it is vital to build a strong foundation. I believe that is important because, as a therapist, I understand that I am entering your private world. This is a deep and sacred trust. It is important to me that my clients know that whether or not that trust has been violated by others in the past, I will create a sanctuary in which those hurts that have created trauma, anxiety, depression, etc., can be explored, understood and, as we face that pain together, we can find healing and restoration.

You’ve always been best friends as well as romantic partners. The ultimate teammates. Each other’s person. So when one of you cheated, it devastated you both in ways you could never have imagined. Infidelity has turned your world upside down. You have always loved each other deeply, and while you want to see if you can heal your relationship from this betrayal, you’re not sure if you can. You still feel the love you’ve built over your years together, but now it’s mixed together with grief, rage, shock, disappointment, and confusion. You're ready to work on this with someone who gets it, and you know you can't do this on your own.

My approach is attachment-based and trauma-informed.
You’ve been holding it together with grit, humor, and maybe some well-placed sarcasm—but inside, it’s starting to feel heavier. You’re tired of pretending everything’s fine. You want to feel better, do better, and actually understand why you keep getting stuck in the same patterns.
Therapy is where we get honest—without judgment, without fluff. It’s where you show up as your full, messy, brilliant self and finally start making sense of your shit. No toxic positivity. No forced silver linings. Just real talk, real change, and space to be seen exactly as you are.

Let's get right to work! Most people do not reach out to a therapist because they want to start therapy in three months, or even three weeks, from now. They reach out because they probably needed to start yesterday.
Couples are in distress, on average, for six years before seeking professional support. Poor communication and increasing distance can take it's toll on a relationship.
Anxiety, when poorly managed, can reduce quality of life.
We are not born knowing the most effective ways to communicate and society does a terrible job of reaching us how to manage and effective express emotion.

Attachment-based Therapists
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
