I help
women
find freedom in their relationship with alcohol.
You want more from your life. People around you think you have it together and you have a great life. But they don’t know how anxious you feel, how much you drink or how you never feel good enough. It’s exhausting keeping it all together and it’s time for a change. Maybe you are questioning your drinking or you know something needs to shift because you feel disconnected from who you want to be. Whether you are a gray area drinker, taking a break from drinking or fully in recovery, you are welcome here. It's never too late to begin again!

I specialize in talk therapy for
women
, providing empathy and evidence-based techniques to guide you through tough times. As a therapist working with
women
, I aim to give compassion and evidence-based talk therapy to help guide them through dark or confusing periods. Assigning homework between sessions and working daily to develop new skills and positive habits is essential to achieve lasting change. I work individually with men and
women
faced with individual issues and relationship problems.
Relationships are an important part of the foundation of our lives, both the relationship we have with ourselves, and the relationship we have with others. The relationship we have with ourselves can be challenged by internal conflict, feelings of being stuck, and fears that stops us, causing our lives to be unsatisfying. Since we 'live' in all 3 time periods, the past, present, and future, we want to make sure that our past 'stories' are not interfering in our present lives. And then by understanding what our fears are, we can have a better view of the future. Overall, we can become more present. Secondly, the relationship we have with others is influenced by how we're doing, so getting our own 'house' in order will help us be better in relationship! We can experience less defensiveness and more openness. Counseling is an unique opportunity to reconnect with ourselves and others. It's an opportunity to pay attention to parts of ourselves that we try to ignore. It's also an opportunity to have the life that you want and deserve.

When addressing issues with substances, I help men and
women
explore their use to determine if it is problematic and then what, if anything, they want to do about it.
I have 23 years of experience helping my clients change their relationship with their thoughts and feelings as they close the gap between how their lives are and how they want them to be. I draw from different approaches, which allows me to meet my clients where they are, creating a personalized approach unique to the needs of each person. While I specialize in substance abuse,
women
's issues, and depression, I also help clients develop skills to manage stress, improve their relationship with themselves and others, and adjust to life transitions such as divorce, starting a new relationship, or having a baby.

Being a
woman
can be magical and empowering. It can also be exhausting. As
women
we navigate the many pressures of our every day lives. We can get lost in the day to day aspects of motherhood, being a partner, a friend, daughter and trying to uphold a career. Meanwhile our dreams and longing for more often take a backseat and get lost in the shuffle. In every
woman
, there is a voice that begs to be heard and a story that desires to be lived. Living a life in your own wild freedom is not something you need to wait to do someday. What would life look like if you listened to Her now?

As a highly sensitive autistic
woman
, I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent people with oppressed genders by providing a safe haven to unmask and live more authentically.
As a neurodivergent person, moving through a world built for neurotypical people can be an overwhelming and disempowering experience. When social pressure or trauma leads you to mask who you really are, it can lead to depression, anxiety, stress, and/or a sense of not inhabiting or controlling your own body. Sometimes, the more you try to fit in, the more alienated you become from yourself and those around you.

I help
women
of all ages heal from loss, grief and trauma. Are you feeling stuck, depressed, anxious, exhausted or lonely? If so, you have come to the right place. You may have gone through a traumatic experience in the past that continues to impact your daily life and relationships, and wonder how you'll overcome these wounds. You may feel anxious, and wonder how to cope with this new anxiety. You may feel the most depressed and lonely you have ever felt before, and wonder how you'll find happiness again. You may feel trapped in a relationship that is controlling, and wonder how you'd leave this relationship.

It is my great pleasure to inspire
women
to connect back to their intuition so they can manifest the life they love.
True transformational healing happens at the level of the soul. Traditional counseling focuses on fixing faulty thinking. Rather, let's uncover the negative unconscious beliefs about yourself that motivate this thinking. It is the quality of the relationship that you have with yourself that will ultimately determine how quickly you can manifest what you love.

My passion is working with clients in transition. I specialize in counseling
women
of menopausal age who are facing situations like aging parents, adult sibling relationships, emancipating children and career transitions. For
women
in this stage of life there might be a sense of invisibility and devaluation. It is often challenging to navigate these situations in isolation and because of the complex relational history there can be a sense of overwhelm with emotional triggers. How would it be if this were a time of mastery and empowerment?

woman
, I not only have personal experience with historical trauma, intergenerational trauma, and
women
's issues, I also specialize in grief and loss, sexual assault/violence, suicidality, relationship issues, transitional difficulties, depression, anxiety, identity formation, and more. With experience serving ages 12-adult, I aim to create a safe space to explore an array of different obstacles within the human experience to leave my clients feeling empowered and heard. My clients come to me looking for reprieve from mental aguish, and in true acceptance of the self, we venture there together.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
