Are you seeking an evaluation to better understand your child's (or your own) struggles? Do they have advanced verbal skills, but struggle with learning? Have teachers expressed concerns about their focus or behavior at school? Perhaps your child has emotional outbursts after a long day at school, or seems to have very uneven development in different abilities. If you wonder if you or your child has ADHD , dyslexia, dyscalculia, or another learning disability, we can help with expert testing. Or if your child shows signs of giftedness and you want to enroll them in a gifted program or school, we provide IQ testing to help with this.

Life is a journey that is not meant to be walked alone, but instead in relationships and with vulnerability and openness. Therapy is an opportunity to build skills and resources to process and navigate life's everyday challenges. Asking for help and finding someone to share your burden with is a great show of strength and courage! For the quickest response please visit my web page and fill out a contact form.

Do you ever feel different from other people? Like whatever normal is, it just isn’t you? Do you feel like you need to diminish yourself in order to “get along”? Or maybe like you are always getting in your own way? I believe that people are on an ongoing journey of self-discovery and personal growth. My job is to help you tune in to the “you” that feels most true, and practice living with intention. I work with teens and college-aged adults around issues of ADHD , gender and sexual identity, nontraditional relationships and healthy boundaries, and navigating a changing world.

If you could use some support or need ADHD testing, reach out.
If anxiety, stress or lack of motivation is holding you back or making everyday life more difficult, please reach out to me for a free consultation. Together, my clients and I work to "make friends with our anxiety." This means, rather than seeing anxiety and stress as our enemy, we listen to what it's trying to tell us and learn to use it to our benefit. Rather than struggling against our feelings, our work will focus on understanding them and using them to help us achieve our goals and live a full life. I also specialize in relationship/family issues, ADHD , trauma, and college mental health.

I am passionate about helping teens and adults through any of the difficulties that life throws at them; anxiety, depression, disordered eating, ADHD , grief, or even life transitions.
Care and support are essential for living a full life, but support can present itself in many ways. Maybe you are seeking better coping skills, the resources to develop better boundaries or deal with conflict in a healthier way, or maybe you are simply seeking someone to listen and allow you the space to grow into the person that you want to be. I work with each client with the understanding that they have their own struggles and own way of needing support so that they can begin their journey to health and happiness. My approach is strengths-based, integrative, and inclusive.

I have worked with clients (age 12 and up) for 30 years to overcome depression, anxiety, anger, stress, relationship conflicts, ADD , addictions, workplace, and motivation problems. I am a very interactive and solution focused therapist who challenges clients to instigate the change they want to see. I help clients develop skills in approaching discomfort rather than avoiding. Using cognitive strategies, I can help you change negative thinking to positive. I help clients express their healthiest emotions rather than using emotions to defend or manipulate. I encourage mindfulness, exercise, and other self-care skills.

ADHD Therapists
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.

If you're looking for a Broomfield ADHD therapist, these professionals provide ADHD therapy and counseling in Broomfield.
