I have experience working with ADHD, drug/alcohol abuse and addiction; porn addiction; suicidal and homicidal ideation; physical, sexual, emotional, and negligent abuse; and trauma, grief, and loss.
Life does not always go according to plan. We experience many things that are outside of our control, but they leave a lasting impact on us as human beings. Life is a journey that is not meant to be walked alone, but instead in relationships and with vulnerability and openness. Therapy is an opportunity to build skills and resources to process and navigate life's everyday challenges. Asking for help and finding someone to share your burden with is a great show of strength and courage! For the quickest response please visit my web page and fill out a contact form.

She'll partner with you as you work through whatever life has thrown your way. Jordyn can help adolescents and adults to overcome anxiety, depression, insecurities, grief, relationship issues, and much more.

I specialize in working with marginalized individuals who experience depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, life transitions, and body traumas.
As a person living in a marginalized body it can be hard to understand the impact of your everyday experiences. You need a space for yourself to be heard, to be seen, and most importantly to feel. Talk therapy is useful, but if it doesn’t incorporate the body, it’s not complete. Our bodies give us cues about what we need, so developing a better relationship with your body gives you more understanding and flexibility in real-time. As a somatic therapist, I will work with you to identify cues and triggers to have more choices when you need to set a boundary or stand up for yourself or a loved one.

I am passionate about helping teens and adults through any of the difficulties that life throws at them; anxiety, depression, disordered eating, ADHD, grief, or even life transitions.
Care and support are essential for living a full life, but support can present itself in many ways. Maybe you are seeking better coping skills, the resources to develop better boundaries or deal with conflict in a healthier way, or maybe you are simply seeking someone to listen and allow you the space to grow into the person that you want to be. I work with each client with the understanding that they have their own struggles and own way of needing support so that they can begin their journey to health and happiness. My approach is strengths-based, integrative, and inclusive.

Are you feeling disconnected from yourself or your relationship? I can help! I enjoy working with and empowering adolescents, couples, and the elderly to overcome obstacles and process through trauma that impacts growth. I also use qEEG Neurofeedback to address the struggles associated with ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, autism, and behavioral issues in children and adults. Neurofeedback is a non-invasive treatment modality and changes are noticed faster than with a pharmacological approach.

Currently accepting new clients .... Why is change so hard? Because we are often not aware of what we do or why we do it. My specialty is diving deeply into the mind and helping you experience change at a fundamental level. This requires no special knowledge or skill on your part, only willingness to explore and an openness to what you might find. Just like your body, your mind knows how to heal itself. My role is to facilitate that process. I provide a safe environment, compassionate feedback, and supportive challenge when needed. I also offer Neurofeedback to improve concentration, sleep, anxiety and ADHD.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
