About
In a world that is moving so incredibly fast, do you find that it's difficult to slow down? As a clinical psychologist, I focus on utilizing mindfulness cognitive-behavioral techniques with a variety of individuals of all ages to help in learning to slow your brain down and to accept and surrender to life's challenges. I have 18 years experience working with those who are suffering from depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, attention, and behavioral issues. You are not alone. You can find support and guidance in taking control of your own thoughts and feelings. Check out my professional website www.drlisatempleton.com
My belief is that my relationship with each client is what heals, and I'm authentic, engaging and present in each therapeutic relationship, which functions to guide and facilitate recovery. Particularly, my specialty is Mindfulness Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (MCBT) which supports my clients to understand their inner world more fully.
I consistently monitor my own thoughts/feelings and stay mindful and present in the moment throughout my personal/professional life. I work to create healthy, open, and trusting relationships with my clients. I have also written and published a book called "Letting It Be: Mindful Lessons Toward Acceptance" that is a guide to working within.

Actively Letting It Be! A mindfulness CBT group
This class meets monthly for 6 months and is an experiential opportunity to learn and grow with yourself and with others through a process to bring about more peace, love, objectivity, surrender, and inner power to your life. Each month will address particular energies involved with acceptance and working with grief, loss, change, fear, and other difficulties. The group will offer education, meditations, mindful exercises, and a supportive community. Check out www.drlisatempleton.com for more information about the group. The course runs in-person as well as online (receiving the self-study tools via email) beginning January 2019.
