The days are blurring together. There’s a pressure in your chest that won’t go away. It’s hard to breathe because you are so overwhelmed. You see everything that’s not working but feel out of control. Distracting yourself with friends, alcohol, exercise, etc. used to work. Now, you’re stuck at home, unable to distract yourself for long. You hate who you are. Up to this point, you were surviving, but you want more. You think, “if only I wasn’t so sensitive.” Your whole life you’ve felt small, judged, shamed. There has to be more. You don’t want to be that person anymore, and you need help. You need someone to see the real you.

You love each other. You'd also occasionally like to wring the other ones neck! Welcome to the lovely journey of relationship.
Maybe you're having the same fight for the umpteeth time: one of you wants to talk about it until death do you part and the other would rather fake their own death; or you've somehow gone from lovers to co-managers of children, dogs and Costco.
I work with couples who are stuck and want to get unstuck. We won't spend months politely discussing your communication problems. We'll find out what's actually happening between the 2 of you, and change it. In the room. In the moment. Together.

I'm Maddie, and I specialize in helping teenagers, young adults, and their parents through challenges. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Doctor of Educational Leadership with over 15 years of experience—and as a mom of four myself—I understand both sides of the teen struggle. I spent years as a school counselor, so I deeply understand the academic pressure, social media stress, and identity questions today's teens face. And as a parent, navigating the chaos of raising teenagers? I get what you're going through.

You’re thoughtful, self-aware, and often the one others rely on—but internally, something feels off. Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety or emotional overwhelm, or perhaps you feel disconnected from yourself or uncertain about what you truly want. You may have already done some personal growth work, yet still find yourself caught in familiar patterns—overthinking, people-pleasing, or wondering why you keep ending up in the same place.

You have tried talk therapy and it feels as though it is not moving the way it used to. Perhaps you are seeking support or a pathway to self discovery around old patterns, anxiety, depression, confusing emotions, overwhelm, relational dynamics, or trauma. If you feel drawn to a more holistic way of working with themes like these and you are curious to engage with more creative/art, spiritual/soul, somatic, nature-based, or experiential approaches. If you want to experience more embodiment, find clarity, grow, heal, and learn about yourself-and you desire more than simply talking your way through it, this is where I may come in.

I work with athletes ages 12 and up who want to perform well, compete with confidence, and build a healthy relationship with sport. Some come to me because they feel stuck in their heads, overwhelmed by pressure, frustrated by inconsistency, or disconnected from the joy that first drew them to their sport. Others want to strengthen their mental game, develop new skills, and continue growing as athletes.
My approach combines sport psychology tools with exploration. Together we strengthen focus, confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience while learning from setbacks and performance struggles.

I have enjoyed working therapeutically with adolescents, adults and families for over 25 years. I am amazed by the growth that can happen when you take the initiative to create positive change in your relationships and in your emotional self. I feel honored to be part of this process of growth, change and trust created in a therapeutic relationship. I recognize that the decision to begin the therapeutic journey can be a difficult one and aim to create a comfortable environment and relationship to help foster personal transformation. I am excited to introduce new modalities including plant medicine, Ketamine and other intensives.

My clients are people at an inflection point — not always by choice. They're adults, teens, couples, and men who've found that something isn't working anymore, even if they can't yet say what. Some are navigating anxiety or depression that's quietly been running the show. Others are moving through divorce, major life transitions, or the slow erosion that happens in relationships over time. Some are high-functioning people, tech workers, parents, professionals, who look fine on the outside and feel lost on the inside. What they share is a willingness, even a reluctant one, to look more honestly at their lives. That's enough to start.

Hi! I'm Cindy (she/her), an intern therapist at The Gestalt Center. I believe that healing and growth are about becoming more aware of what and how we are doing at any given moment, allowing us to have more choice and freedom to choose behaviors that better align with what we want and who we want to be. The therapeutic relationship is a place to explore what you want, need, what seems to be getting in the way, and how you can navigate your way through to become more of who you are and want to be.
