Sometimes the next level is on the other side of fear, depression, anxiety, PTSD, addictions, relationship challenges, and anger.
I see the process of therapy as a connection between experts: You are the expert in your life, and I am the expert in the process of guiding people deepen their connection with themselves, and what is most important to them. Together we will develop a profound understanding of your current circumstances by studying the obstacles you have encountered on your path. We will capitalize on your personal qualities and use this information to clarify and delineate achievable goals that are relevant to you. The result of this process is that you will feel more in control, comfortable, and fulfilled in your life.

It takes courage to acknowledge that our old ways of doing things are no longer serving us. Sometimes we feel that change is needed but we don't know where to start. I work from a foundational belief that ALL of us are capable of taking the steps necessary to actualize our full potential - the brilliance of who we truly are - and that sometimes old patterns get in the way.

I support adults and teens navigating life transitions, burnout, and trauma, including the ways identity and relationships shape our experiences.
My work blends mindfulness, somatic therapy, and Internal Family Systems (parts work) to help clients reconnect with themselves in a grounded, compassionate way. I am passionate about working with people who feel deeply, carry a strong inner critic, or feel pulled between big life choices and stuck with how to live into a life that feels more aligned.

You're capable, thoughtful, and successful in many areas of life — yet something still feels fundamentally off. Arguments escalate faster than you want, or you go quiet afterward carrying a familiar weight of frustration, shame, or regret. You've built a life that looks right from the outside, yet the people closest to you still can't quite reach you. You're not falling apart. You're exhausted from holding it all together alone. You may be navigating recovery, fatherhood, life transition, or simply a growing sense that the way you've been doing things isn't working anymore. You're ready for something different.

We are here on this planet together, often experiencing similar life events and yet we feel we might not feel we can talk with others about what we think are 'too personal' experiences. I have been that quiet and alone person, not sure how to heal or grow or move beyond difficult events. You do not need to suffer alone. Reaching out to a therapist is a way to talk about the stuff that feels overwhelming or too embarrassing or confusing to manage on your own. Talking with a therapist can also bring new insights and expansion of the heart. Reach out and let's see if we could be a good team together.

My approach to therapy is embodied, trauma-informed, and deeply respectful of the whole person who is sitting in front of me.
This modality can help us to work on a deeper level to gently explore the root causes of anxiety, depression, stress, addiction, shame, low self-worth, isolation, and relationship difficulties. N-A-R-M holds the view that every person has within them the capacity to connect to their inherent sense of wholeness and aliveness.

I offer trauma-focused and transpersonally-oriented psychotherapy and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for those who need capable support for healing.
There are times where life presents challenges that can feel and seem insurmountable. Childhood wounding, difficulties with relationships, abuse, discrimination, divorce/separations, existential crisis, and transition to motherhood can be overwhelming. Often our family, friends, and larger community, if we are connected to them, do not know to help or are compromised themselves and cannot. This is when the proverbial "... hits the fan." In some larger way, we might be able to see what is happening as an opportunity to grow, but what has happened or is happening is so painful we need strong support to get through and grow from it.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
