All of our practitioners have a background in body-based modalities, as well as a connection to spirituality, meditation, or mindfulness.
Being a human being is hard! I work with people who know they could be more real, more themselves, more present, and more whole, but don’t know how. Through somatic psychotherapy, holistic healing arts, inner child healing, and more, I help people become intimate with their inner wisdom. I so look forward to getting to know you and supporting you. Reasons to work with me may include depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship difficulties, spiritual emergency, insomnia, trauma, autoimmune issues, self-esteem, clarity of purpose, and deepening connection to yourself.

We are here on this planet together, often experiencing similar life events and yet we feel we might not feel we can talk with others about what we think are 'too personal' experiences. I have been that quiet and alone person, not sure how to heal or grow or move beyond difficult events. You do not need to suffer alone. Reaching out to a therapist is a way to talk about the stuff that feels overwhelming or too embarrassing or confusing to manage on your own. Talking with a therapist can also bring new insights and expansion of the heart. Reach out and let's see if we could be a good team together.

I have an integrative approach to psychotherapy bringing awareness to body, mind, and spirit. How we eat, sleep, exercise, and relate to each other and the world are all meaningful and woven together in my approach. I use both Conscious Loving and the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) with couples and families. I offer Conscious Connected breath-work sessions, as a somatic modality to work with trauma and emotions held deeply in the body.

I consider my role as a psychologist to be one of great privilege. As I journey with others through the issues that have brought them to therapy, I often feel invited into sacred spaces, filled with suffering, pain, confusion, or one’s deepest longings of the heart. It is in these sacred spaces that there is also opportunity for change, for hope, for healing. My hope is that through the process of psychotherapy people will come to experience greater freedom and vitality, deeper capacities for love and creativity, and more meaningful and redemptive relationships.

The clients I work with are often thoughtful, self-aware, and exhausted. Many have spent years functioning through trauma, holding it all together while privately traversing enormous burdens. They’re often moving through major life shifts, difficult relationship dynamics, or systems that feel limiting. They’re not looking for surface-level solutions. They want depth, insight, and a therapist who won’t flinch at complexity. Through this work, I often watch people reclaim parts of themselves they thought were lost, and begin to inhabit a life that feels more congruent with who they are. And from that place, change becomes sustainable.

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck — dealing with anxiety, stress, life transitions, or a sense that something isn’t quite working, even if things look okay on the surface. You may be functioning in your day-to-day life while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about your direction underneath. I offer a grounded, collaborative approach to therapy that helps you slow down, understand your experience more clearly, and move toward meaningful and lasting change. My work integrates mindfulness-based practices with evidence-based therapy and a deeper, more reflective exploration of patterns, habits, and beliefs.

People usually find me when they have an intuitive awareness that something deeper is waiting for them. Life looks fine on the outside, yet inside there’s grief, uncertainty, exhaustion, or a longing for more meaning. My approach honors both emotional healing and spiritual connection. We listen for intuition and spirit guidance while gently exploring the psychological layers of your experience.

You may be longing to feel more at home in your body, more connected in your relationships, or more trusting of your intuition. You don't have to heal your trauma to be in healthy relationships, you just have to be in a healthy relationship with your trauma. Your wounds shape who you are and how you show up in the world in uniquely special and brilliant ways. Our work involves unhooking the binds that your trauma patterns have created so that you can experience an inner sense of safety and trust, be more empowered in your relationships, and come to know and love the gifts that your life path has challenged you to open to.

I'm passionate about helping clients recover from childhood trauma, move beyond substance addiction, find new ways of relating to themselves and the world, and explore their humanness and spiritual selves as they grow towards fulfilling life-long pursuits or desires. My work with clients is direct and compassionate, oriented towards the relational and existential aspects of Life, and also mindfulness-based. Let's look at and move through the barriers preventing your full engagement in Life and its desirable pursuits. Old stories about self need no longer hold you back.

Life is full of ups and downs and neither need be feared. Despite our best efforts, we cannot avoid suffering. Successful therapy helps clients learn to understand our lives. It can help us learn to recognize patterns of seeking safety at the cost of aliveness. My clients often are seeking relief from anxiety and stress, or working with specific challenges, including substance abuse, relationship challenges, career difficulties and life transitions. I work with individuals who are seeking to develop greater spiritual awareness and more joy in life. If you are looking tochange careers or want to find meaning in life, I can help.

Spirituality Therapists
What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?
Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.

What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?
There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviors. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.

Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?
Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.

How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?
Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
