A somatic psychotherapist with 12+ years specializing with anxious overachievers to create real, embodied change + a life you love!
Many people WANT to change + assume they’re stuck because they lack discipline or motivation. More often, their nervous system simply isn’t used to slowing down or doing things differently. That's why my approach works WITH the body so unconscious patterns can relax and feel safe. Change becomes easier, more sustainable, + even enjoyable. Woop woop!

I like to use tools ( Somatic, Hypnotherapy) that encourage your self-awareness and inner wisdom to grow.
I specialize in working with sensitive, high-achieving adults—often midlife women—who are ready for real change in both their inner world and their work. You may be feeling anxious, exhausted, stuck in familiar patterns, or quietly disconnected from your confidence, purpose, or joy. You’re thoughtful, capable, and self-aware—and you know it’s time for something to shift. My approach is practical, body-aware, and trauma-informed. In our sessions, I offer tools that go beyond talking alone, sharing tools to calm the nervous system, and create meaningful change. Clients leave sessions feeling clearer, steadier, and more resourced.

As a somatic therapist, my orientation is relational and body-based.
I imagine us all as trees with tree rings: concentric, multidimensional beings with several layers of ourselves in time and space. Sometimes, parts of our selves become estranged– disconnection from our inner child, distrust of our chaotic mid-20s self, tension between our defenses and our deepest truths, and so on. I aim to bring compassion and curiosity to the multiple facets of you so you can relax into befriending yourself. I also view us as inextricable from our cultures and lineages. Occasionally, we become an orchestra out of harmony. No instrument needs to step out– we just want them to play together for your unique song.

Life can be challenging, and we all need support at times. You don’t have to navigate it alone—I’m here to help. I offer compassionate therapeutic guidance and skills-based tools to help you build confidence, resilience, and a greater sense of agency. My experience as an interfaith chaplain in end-of-life care deeply shaped how I support others. Walking alongside people during some of life’s most tender and challenging moments at end of life, showed me that we also need meaningful care throughout life. Together, we can navigate anxiety, depression, stress and trauma to cultivate a life worth living.

With EMDR and somatic therapy, you’ll learn how to move through your life with greater resilience, clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
You're really self-aware, but it’s not making you feel any better. Now you’re looking for someone to support you with things you’re too close to see. When you’re facing something new – your career change, your aging parents, a big relationship, or that breakup that’s toppled your world, core beliefs like “I can’t handle this” or “I’m not enough” can hijack your every move. People-pleasing, rejection sensitivity, and hypervigilance exhaust you, and you forget how it feels to be present, grounded, and connected to yourself and others. The strategies that kept you going are breaking down, and you know you've got to make a change.

I am an EMDR, IFS, and Gestalt trained therapist, and also pull from cognitive behavioral therapy and somatic awareness and processing.
I work with individuals and couples who are coming to see that it is too costly, and too exhausting, to maintain their social performances, or to remain engaged in distractions and sedations all the time in order to avoid feeling the fullness of their feelings. I use IFS, EMDR, and Radical Honesty to work with people who want to feel more awake in their lives, resolve trauma, and reclaim their whole selves. If you are depressed and life feels like a chore, anxious and unable to relax, frustrated, angry, grieving, confused, or just getting the sense that you're not getting the juice you want out of this life, read on.

We'll use somatic (body-centered) techniques to move through blocks and build embodied self-trust and confidence in your choices.
You can’t believe the fantasies you’ve been having, or that you’re questioning your sexual orientation at this point in your life. “Is this really happening NOW?! Don’t most people figure this out in their teens?! Am I bi? gay? Could this actually explain, like, A LOT?” You’ve tried to ignore it but the pent-up energy and longing in your body only grow stronger. You're distracted at work and distant with your spouse. You feel an enticing pull in one moment, and sheer panic the next. Does this mean divorce? Is your whole life about to crumble around you? It may be time to face the truth, but you have no F-ing idea how to proceed.

I use an integrative approach that includes mindfulness-based, somatic, attachment-focused, and cognitive therapies, as well as expressive arts when helpful.
Sometimes life can feel fast-paced, oppressive, and overwhelming. Nature reminds us that we have access to our own internal resilience, peace, and wisdom. My passion lies in helping individuals navigate the terrain on their unique path to personal growth, self-discovery, and healing. Stress, anxiety, and fear are just some of the feelings that can make us feel stuck, disconnected, or lost. However, the empowering truth is that they don’t have to define us. Together, let’s embark on a transformative journey where we explore these emotions as powerful catalysts for change.

I have integrated my own style based on developmental psychology, inquiry, parts work, Zen meditation and somatic therapies to gently track the unfoldment of what's here and now.
You've already done lots of therapy, all the workshops, retreats, and your bookshelf is blessed with the goodness of all that you've learned. You're genuine in "doing the work"... maybe you've even tasted awakening...but something still aches or is missing? Our anxieties or depression are not diagnoses, they are truly loving messages from our depth that we've lost track of ourselves. Lost track of what matters. This is quite different from seeing ourselves as a pathology or a neurosis or broken.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
