I enjoy working with a variety of clients however, I especially enjoy working with young adults. I feel this population is misunderstood with challenges they face today. The majority of my experience has been in Crisis Intervention and Trauma. I have worked detention centers for juveniles and adults.

Navigating life is a complex and tumultuous process. Every day, we're tugged in myriad directions, confronted with decisions at every turn that ask us to balance relationships, work, self-care, and personal growth. This constant barrage of "shoulds", responsibilities, and pressures in life creates an unrelenting current of stress and anxiety and leaves us worn thin and wondering, "why is it so hard to feel good?" It's no wonder that we find ourselves grasping at food, alcohol, tv, sex, drugs, and social media to relieve this tension. However, the relief provided by such behaviors is temporary and only exacerbates the problem.

Do intrusive thoughts keep looping in your mind, no matter how hard you try to stop them? Are you overwhelmed by feelings of anxiety, self-doubt, or depression that won’t seem to go away? Maybe a relationship ended badly, and you can’t stop replaying what happened—or a past mistake feels like it’s haunting you. If you’re struggling to move forward and it’s hard to love yourself right now, you don’t have to do it alone. I can help. I specialize in somatic therapy, a powerful approach that goes beyond traditional talk therapy by working directly with your body’s nervous system.

I help folks identify, access, and more effectively use their strengths and resilience - even under incredibly difficult and complex circumstances. Clients come to my practice to find alternatives to patterns and behaviors that are no longer working, to heal from traumas, explore identity, navigate transitions, and get unstuck. I work with teens, young adults, and adults who want real change, more support, effective boundaries, and honest connection in their lives using a social justice counseling framework that is client-defined, trauma-informed and strengths-based.

Ever feel like there is more to this life than the one you've been living? As someone who has felt the gravity and darkness of untapped potential I know what's it's like to be living a life we don't love. The clues are within the depression and/or anxiety - these are our body's brilliantly sane ways of saying "pay attention!" Anyone can have a life that is full of passion, richness, purpose, and they feel joyfully proud to be living. It will take vulnerability, bravery, sacrifices, and perhaps some help to get this life that you love. I'd be deeply honored to be the gentle and firm guide you need to help you create this life.

Do you find yourself taking on the emotions of the people in your life while receiving little emotional care in return? Your sensitivity is a gift that requires care and support. I work primarily with highly sensitive women who feel overwhelmed and stuck in patterns they understand intellectually but struggle to shift. You may appear high functioning to others while feeling anxiety, self-criticism, or disconnection when alone. Many of the clients I work with have histories of trauma, C-PTSD, and emotionally unsafe relationships. I offer a therapy space that feels thoughtful, compassionate, and grounding.

A seed grows with no sound, but a tree falls with huge noise. Destruction has noise, but creation is quiet. This is the power of silence. Grow silently. - Confucius... To grow silently means to go within, to be aware, to have courage in the face of fear. If you're struggling with addiction, trauma, grief, anxiety/depression, boundaries and learning to be assertive or trying to find your meaning and purpose in world filled with noise. Then perhaps I can be of help.

Do you and your partner feel stuck in painful patterns of conflict or distance? Do small disagreements escalate or never get resolved? Do you miss the closeness, safety, and warmth you once felt together? Relationship stress can affect every part of your life — from your ability to focus at work to how you parent and care for yourself. Studies even show that chronic relationship distress can harm your physical health. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. We all need to feel secure with our partner to thrive in love and in life.

Transformation only happens in relationship. The absence of a relational home for transformation generally leads to superficial temporary changes. We make ourselves stuck by building walls of protection around us, which probably made perfect sense at the time. However, walls of protection eventually become walls of constriction. These walls lead us to the illusion of having no choices in our situation, to the belief that life is happening to us, instead of what is true, that we are living our lives and making choices of how we live life.

I believe that all beings are connected to a deeper wisdom within themselves and that healing occurs in spaces that optimize the potential to access and connect with this inner wisdom. My role as a practitioner is to create the most optimal space possible for this connection through presence, witnessing, reflection, and authentic connection. My approach is primarily developmental, transpersonal, relational, and somatic. I support my clients in cultivating a sense of connection and wholeness, and developing tools for self-regulation and resiliency. I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and other distress.

You're thoughtful, self-aware, and a little tired of being so hard on yourself. Something brought you here — anxiety, depression, a loss, a shift, or just a quiet feeling that you deserve more than this. You're right. Most of us grow up collecting stories about ourselves that were never really ours to begin with. Those stories feel like facts. They're not. My favorite part of this work is watching that shift — from self-criticism to a more accurate, compassionate lens. Often faster than you'd expect.

Life is full of ups and downs and neither need be feared. Despite our best efforts, we cannot avoid suffering. Successful therapy helps clients learn to understand our lives. It can help us learn to recognize patterns of seeking safety at the cost of aliveness. My clients often are seeking relief from anxiety and stress, or working with specific challenges, including substance abuse, relationship challenges, career difficulties and life transitions. I work with individuals who are seeking to develop greater spiritual awareness and more joy in life. If you are looking tochange careers or want to find meaning in life, I can help.

I specialize working neurodivergence, particularly ADHD, and Couples. People who are succeeding by most measures, are capable, self-aware, yet struggling and keep hitting the same walls. Couples who love each other, but seem to have lost their connection and want their spark back. I also teach at Naropa University's Graduate School of Clinical Mental Health Counseling Psychology where I help train new therapists. My clients tend to be thoughtful people who want more than symptom management. They're asking deeper questions about who they are and what they want. If you are willing to do the work, we are a good fit.

Psychosis Therapists
What’s the most effective treatment for psychosis?
The most effective treatment for psychosis is coordinated specialty care. In this model, a team of professionals works with a patient to address all aspects of the underlying disorder. This approach incorporates individual or group therapy, employment and education support, family support and education, medication management (which often involves low doses of antipsychotics), and case management to facilitate problem-solving as needed.
When should people seek treatment for psychosis?
People should seek immediate treatment at the earliest indication of psychosis. Symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized or blocked speech, and agitated body movements. Early signs that a person may be developing a disorder that will lead to psychosis include suspiciousness of others, memory problems and distractibility, an inability to think clearly, rapid or nonsensical speech, withdrawal from friends or family, aggression toward others, and sensitivity to bright lights or noises.
What if psychosis is left untreated?
Without treatment, psychosis can have significant repercussions, including injuries, job loss, homelessness, financial or legal trouble, ruptured relationships, and suffering for the person and their family. While early treatment for psychosis often yields the best results, there is no point past which it becomes useless to seek treatment. At any point, treatment can make a difference.
How do I get someone else to seek treatment for psychosis?
It’s extremely difficult to watch a loved one suffer from hallucinations, delusions, and other elements of psychosis—sometimes exacerbated by their fears of treatment. Have a conversation with them in a quiet space and maintain a calm, supportive tone. Share your concerns about behaviors you’ve observed, suggest treatment, and explain the potential benefits. Listen carefully to their responses. The person may not be ready after one conversation, but with time, they may come around.
