Hi! My name is Anya. With a slogan like "Dang Good Therapy For a Damn Good Life"- you know it's gotta be good! My clients are ready for big shifts in their lives. They are motivated to take action and make change. They want more from a therapist than someone who simply nods, repeats back and parrots what you said. I will be your cheerleader, but I will also be your guide; moving you, step-by-step, toward the greater life you want to be living. I challenge and inspire my clients. They are supported in efficiently and effectively evolving themselves and their lives toward a better future.

I love working with people who are curious about making change - whether it's healing, growing, learning, or exploring their identity and goals. My passions are resiliency, creativity, and connection. I want to help clients foster these traits and forge new paths forward. I help clients use their existing strengths to overcome obstacles and to help them learn about how our past experiences and beliefs manifest in our present bodies, minds, feelings, and behaviors. I also use art, music, and movement as therapeutic interventions to help the body process trauma and overwhelming stressful experiences. Specializing in Complex Trauma.

I believe counseling is a collaborative process and starts in the first session as we work together to understand your concerns. My first intention for you is to feel empowered, nurtured, and strengthened by the work we do together. I will work with you to create a safe and trusting space in which you can explore challenges that have hindered your ability to take full advantage of your potential. Together we will work on resolving difficult issues to promote increased self-awareness, understanding, and connection.

You may be successful, insightful, or outwardly composed, yet still sense there’s more beneath the surface. I help clients explore the deeper architecture of their emotional lives using parts work, somatic insight, and transpersonal frameworks. My practice welcomes those navigating identity, power, and longing. Especially queer, trans, neurodivergent, and spiritually attuned individuals seeking more than just coping.

I work with men and young men who are struggling in their relationships, whether that be with family, women, themselves, or coworkers. Usually anxiety, depression, trauma, or even PTSD accompany these relationship challenges. Let me guess, you are here because how you are handling your problems isn’t working. Maybe you aren't sure exactly what you need, but you know you need support. You know that you would like to be satisfied in your relationships and able to handle stressors skillfully. Your goal is to feel ok again, to feel like you have control of your life and the direction it is going in.

Healing is rarely linear; it’s a journey of stops & starts that uncovers, examines, experiments with & integrates our experiences. You may be someone who has done deep inner work and spent years in therapy, or you may also be new to therapy & simply noticing that anxiety, low mood, or shutdown are getting in the way of how you want to live. You might understand why these patterns exist, or you may just know that your body feels tense, overwhelmed, or disconnected. When insight alone hasn’t brought the relief you hoped for, we gently shift toward safety and nervous system regulation, allowing your innate capacity to heal to emerge.

When is enough enough? Life is a constant process of managing work, family, friendships, partnerships, parenting, a household; the list never ends. Every year you might think it's going to be better, less stress, more fun; and then it's back to the same draining routines. If you feel tired of wishing things in your life were different and finding yourself stuck in patterns and relationships that don't feel good, something has to change. Starting now might feel like too much, but, we know that perfect time isn't coming any time soon. My ideal client has already done traditional therapy/is currently in therapy and looking for more.

Most of the first responders I work with are used to handling things on their own. They show up, do the job, and keep moving. Over time, the stress and experiences start to stack up. You might notice you are more on edge, checked out, or not bouncing back the way you used to. That is usually the point where people reach out. My goal is to help you feel more steady, think clearly, and have a better handle on things day to day.

My therapeutic style is warm and curious, grounded in dark humor and honest, witty realism. I work with people who want to improve their relationships with self and others, LGBTQIA+, and those looking to strengthen their identity and build self-esteem. I am a natural medicine facilitator in training who legally works with ketamine and psilocybin mushrooms, with over 256 hours of training in psychedelic integration. I also work with relationships of all sexual orientations, ages, and styles (monogamous, ethically non-monogamous). I am incredibly lucky to do this work.

Pajama Forward Therapist here! If white knuckling, self shaming, and pulling yourself up by your bootstraps worked, you’d be “cured” a billion times over. It doesn’t. At least not for me or people whose brains are different. Our minds race and it feels impossible to turn off and rest. Sometimes we use substances or other behaviors in a harmful way just to get through the day. There’s more to life out there. A more peaceful and meaningful life is possible. We need to go deeper and get to the root of things. I’ll go with you. Unable to take insurance.

Both myself and most of my clients identify with the intersections of neurodivergence, disability, trauma, moral injury, and the LGBTQ+ community. Healing is a political act and I do not separate how systemic oppression and polycrises impact our capacities to show up for the collective we belong to. Our work towards liberation will find direction through your special joys, curiosities, and hopes and isn't afraid of BIG emotions or the decay that comes before new growth.

Are you a sensitive, deep-feeling soul who’s burned out from hustling, people-pleasing, and trying to get everything “right?” Do you long for genuine connection, inner peace, and to feel whole in a fragmented, chaotic world? Perhaps you’ve done the self-help, tried pushing harder and harder to change, even shaming and self-hatred to get the depression, anxiety and unhealthy habits and dysfunctional ways of thinking and feeling to stop—and you're ready for a new way. One rooted in self-compassion, bringing home disowned parts of yourself, embodiment, patience, and authentic healing.

Deciding to go to therapy can be difficult. If you are considering this, part of you is curious and hopeful, while you may also feel fearful and hopeless. Walking with you between hope and fear is one of my callings. You can find the resiliency and the courage to become the person you always wanted to be.

You're not here for surface-level fixes or generic advice. You're someone who feels deeply, lives fully, and has been through more than most people may know. Maybe it's complex trauma, a neurodivergent mind, chronic illness, or navigating life as part of the LGBTQIA+ community — or all of the above. Something brought you here today, and I don't think it was an accident. Your nervous system has been asking for something different — a space that actually honors who you are, how your brain works, and what your body has been carrying. You're ready to listen to that. And so am I.
