As a Depth and Jungian psychotherapist with a background in art and visual effects, I am looking to find the hidden metaphors in one’s life story to help contextualize the journey that an individual may be on.
All of nature is an expression of creativity. I believe that humans, as part of nature, are meant to express some internal creativity, which is important to the essence of who we are. At the same time, life’s stressors, when not met creatively, lead to depression, anxiety, anger, lack of self-worth, shame, and grief. I approach therapy as a shared descent into the labyrinth of these challenges, walking alongside clients as they confront their demons and find their way forward. Call me to schedule a free consultation.

I work with athletes ages 12 and up who want to perform well, compete with confidence, and build a healthy relationship with sport. Some come to me because they feel stuck in their heads, overwhelmed by pressure, frustrated by inconsistency, or disconnected from the joy that first drew them to their sport. Others want to strengthen their mental game, develop new skills, and continue growing as athletes.
My approach combines sport psychology tools with exploration. Together we strengthen focus, confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience while learning from setbacks and performance struggles.

As a Chicano therapist I am developing a double consciousness to see the world from a decolonized perspective, along with living in a system not meant for us. Many clients carry a quiet weight, a sense that some part of you is unheard, perhaps even within yourself. I know what it's like to hold it all in until your body speaks for you. The most difficult part is asking for help, I commend you on starting your journey here and I am here to make sure that it is meaningful for you.

I love working with teenagers, children and adults, and using art and talk therapy to illuminate what needs attention and attunement within the system or the individual. Art is a vehicle that invites creative expression which can free up trapped energy and allow for movement and clarity. While implementing a variety of adaptable art interventions, I also invite my clients to lead the session and will gently guide when needed. While my focus is geared towards teenagers, I am also seeing clients with eating disorders, young adults working through relationship difficulties and family systems that need some extra attention.

I work with women who have been made to feel like they are 'too much', shamed out of trusting themselves, and long to feel at home in their bodies. Maybe you have a history of sexual trauma that has left you feeling hyper vigilant of how you are perceived, stuck in shame and guilt, and find it difficult to trust your own body. Maybe you've done therapy before but feel lost in the self-awareness loop and want actual change in your life. If you're ready to dive deep and break free from old patterns once and for all, let's connect.

Ever feel like there is more to this life than the one you've been living? As someone who has felt the gravity and darkness of untapped potential I know what's it's like to be living a life we don't love. The clues are within the depression and/or anxiety - these are our body's brilliantly sane ways of saying "pay attention!" Anyone can have a life that is full of passion, richness, purpose, and they feel joyfully proud to be living. It will take vulnerability, bravery, sacrifices, and perhaps some help to get this life that you love. I'd be deeply honored to be the gentle and firm guide you need to help you create this life.

Grounded in expressive arts therapy, body-oriented psychotherapy and mindfulness, I work with issues related to mood, relationships, life transitions, grief and loss, attachment trauma, body image and self-esteem as well as personal, creative and spiritual development. I offer a person-centered approach with a deep trust in all my clients’ ability to cope effectively and meaningfully with life. Contact with this inherent capacity is to some extent interrupted during normative development but especially in the wake of trauma and loss. You may feel a lack of fulfillment, belonging or choice that a therapeutic relationship can support.

What distinguishes my therapy practice from others is that I provide a different element in addition to conventional psychotherapy, which is an abiding interest in freeing, developing, and refining our capacity for deeper dimensions of freedom and personal completion than conventional psychotherapy typically envisions. As human beings we are generally conditioned by our families, culture, and education system in ways that limit our personal truth and freedom. This leads us to, in small or large degrees, become somebody who we're really not. As a result, we feel diminished in the full expression of who we are and what we can become.

I see clients who are dealing with trauma, although it's not always obvious that past experiences are running the show. Many of my clients struggle with perfectionism, addiction, shame, boundaries, people-pleasing, self-worth, and feeling stuck. I am open and affirming of all identities and bodies, often working with communities I align with, such as queer, poly, ethical non-monogamy (ENM), and kink. I use a collaborative approach with lots of humor and raging against the machine (shame).

Welcome! Somatic counseling is based on the idea that the mind and body are interconnected and that physical sensations, movements, and posture can offer valuable insights into emotional and psychological states. Movements can help with a variety of things from releasing trauma to relaxation. When seeking therapy, it's helpful to understand the distinction between approaches that emphasize the body (embodied) and those that are primarily talk-based. Embodied therapies, like somatic psychotherapy, focus on physical sensations, movement, yoga, meditation, and the body's role in processing emotions and trauma.
