Times are tough right now, and you might be feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, sadness, and loneliness. Some days it's hard to even get started at all. Or maybe you feel disconnected from your partner, like they don't understand you or care, and you wonder if you'll ever feel love again. You might be trying hard to forgive your partner for having an affair, but you just can't, and you're afraid you won't ever get past it. You do not have to struggle alone, and together we can work toward getting you or your relationship to a better place.

I draw from advanced training in attachment focused and energetic therapies such as EMDR, AEDP, as well as from Internal Family Systems (parts).
To the deep feelers and thinkers, those who notice things that others miss, I see you. 30% of us are born with more finely-tuned nervous systems than others, yet most of us have been made to feel different, strange, and "too sensitive". If you often get overwhelmed by life and the chaos of the world, there's absolutely nothing wrong with you. I love helping Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) and others with neurodiverse brains understand themselves in light of their sensitivity, heal from past trauma, and gain the self-trust to soar.

You've sat in the medicine ceremonies, explored many healing modalities, and you're looking for a process to bring embodied change to your life. As a deep-feeler, seeker, high achiever, and/or highly-sensitive person (HSP), I'm sure you're not new to the world of therapy and personal development. You're not just looking for any therapist or modality, you're looking for the RIGHT person and process that can help you to discover previously unknown truths about yourself, process developmental & attachment wounds, shift inherited relational patterns, and accelerate your personal development and spiritual growth.

Internal Family Systems ( IFS) and EMDR and its related therapeutic techniques (Tapping/EFT and Flash EMDR), along with positive psychology and ACT are amazing resources that can be supportive to all of us as "tools in the tool belt" when we are working through something difficult.
We are here on this planet together, frequently experiencing very similar life events and yet sometimes we feel we cannot talk with others about what we think are very difficult personal experiences. I have been that quiet and alone person, not sure how to heal or grow or move beyond difficult events. You do not need to suffer alone. Reaching out to a therapist is a way to talk about the stuff that feels overwhelming or too embarrassing or confusing to manage on your own. Talking with a therapist can also bring new insights and expansion of the heart. Reach out and let's see if we could be a good team together.

You're successful on the outside, but inside you feel stuck in overthinking, always needing to be productive, or looping in old addictive patterns you can’t seem to shake. You struggle to give yourself permission to just chill or be creative, you want more presence + fun in relationships, & you want to be able to unwind without food, alcohol, or mindless scrolling.
If this resonates, you’re not broken— on an unconscious level, your body may not feel safe with change. Yet.

The goal when I work with clients is to give them tools to manage their issues and to assist them in exploring the roots of those issues and move toward greater self-understanding and happiness.

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.
How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.
Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.
How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
