I enjoy working with people who identify as having Autism/on the spectrum, ADHD/neurodiverse, queer, who identify as male,
female
, or anywhere in between or outside of that binary. We would work well together if: you are hoping to learn, to grow, to experience the present moment, and question your thoughts. I don't believe in pushing people to disclose if they don't want to. I work within a framework of consent and open-heartedness at all times. I want you to feel safe when you are with me and to learn how to hold that space for yourself as well. Please check out my website at mountainmeadowllc.me for more about me.

Being a
woman
can be magical and empowering. It can also be exhausting. As
women
we navigate the many pressures of our every day lives. We can get lost in the day to day aspects of motherhood, being a partner, a friend, daughter and trying to uphold a career. Meanwhile our dreams and longing for more often take a backseat and get lost in the shuffle. In every
woman
, there is a voice that begs to be heard and a story that desires to be lived. Living a life in your own wild freedom is not something you need to wait to do someday. What would life look like if you listened to Her now?

As a contemplative psychotherapist, my exploration of depth psychology, engagement with the tarot, and perception as a
woman
, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter, I have an understanding of the importance of genuine presence.
I believe our natural state is health toward which we constantly strive. Sometimes, we encounter situations that interrupt this process. These interferences can occur at any point during our lives, and they sometimes leave us searching for ways to cope. There are many ways to heal, and I engage psychotherapy from a contemplative lens. I specialize in healing through a depth approach and I work with clients to uncover the wisdom of their true essence. I use tools such as talk therapy, dream exploration, writing, and tarot toward this effort. I aim to create a space that welcomes being.

**I am taking new online clients* Hello - I help
women
break free from manipulative relationships. We can feel so trapped by toxic coaches, bosses, partners and family members. Many times these people appear to be great, fantastic people and the toxicity is hidden so we feel at fault; we end up feeling crazy. You are going to learn to recognize your own needs and feelings. You will see what behaviors are OK and which ones are abusive. You will forgive yourself for your choices and participation. And you will see that you are not crazy. Your inner voice is correct; your compass points to true North; you will find a way forward.

My coaching clients are adult
women
who long to peel back the stifling layers of early life conditioning in order to realign with what is most radically true and beautiful in the second act of life. Most are recovering “good girls” and/or "people pleasers." They've done all the “right” things, following our culture’s prescribed paths, only to wonder "Is this all there is?" I’ve spent the last 20 years of my career guiding
women
to hear, honor, and act upon their most authentic inner yearning during times of great transition. Learn so much more and contact me via my web site or email only.

I have special offerings for pregnant and postpartum
women
struggling with any aspect of the transition to motherhood.
A strong, secure relationship can bring enormous joy to your life, and a struggling relationship can bring tremendous pain, fear, and despair. If your current relationship is in trouble because of conflict, lack of connection, or problems you can't fix on your own, I can help. I work deeply with couples so that they understand their own attachment styles and emotional patterns and those of their partner. Couples gain confidence in their connection so that they can leave behind patterns of emotional reactivity and withdrawal/shutdown, and share their needs, fears and feelings with confidence.

It is my great pleasure to inspire
women
to connect back to their intuition so they can manifest the life they love.
True transformational healing happens at the level of the soul. Traditional counseling focuses on fixing faulty thinking. Rather, let's uncover the negative unconscious beliefs about yourself that motivate this thinking. It is the quality of the relationship that you have with yourself that will ultimately determine how quickly you can manifest what you love.

I offer a compassionate presence to hold space for whatever you are carrying; especially for people who identify as
women
.
I work with teen and adult individuals from a humanistic, somatic, mindfulness based perspective. It is my belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is a guiding force in the healing process and an essential component for clients to more deeply access themselves. In our time together, we will increase awareness around your relationship to self, relationship patterns with others, how you work to notice and process feelings, how you relate to past wounds and trauma and how you regulate through stressful times. Together we will increase your capacity to compassionately trust and come back to yourself over and over again.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
