I understand and I have experienced depression and anxiety and what it's like to be addicted to alcohol and drugs. I have 26 years of recovery and I couldn't have done this without the help of those who would listen. I see individual adults for therapy. I also see adults with life transitions, ptsd, stress, anti-social disorders, family/social relationships, grief, medical/physical focus, multicultural/diversity issues, suicidal ideation and/or self-harming, bipolar, relationship therapy, spirituality, and trauma.

Sometimes unforeseen events take place in our life that change us. We try to do our best to pick up the pieces and move on with life but find that just doing life, or being in relationships with others seems like a monumental task. Sometimes we try to lock the pain away in order to get on with life, or may not know what the source of pain is, but no matter what we try it doesn't go away. Contrary to popular belief, time does not always heal everything. Many times just a listening ear and a helping hand is all that is needed for you to feel more like yourself again. Before long, the anxieties, depressions, and traumas of the human experience will haunt us in one way or another. Individuals who have recently embarked upon the decision to change some part of their story inspire me with their desire to discover life anew. Trying to manage life alone can have devastating results. My desire is to help connect people back to the Father and to therefore see them thrive in such a way that they become healthy, healed positive agents for change in their families and communities. Hello! My name is Mackenzie Clough and I am a LPC in Colorado. I received my MA degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University in Detroit, Michigan and previously graduated with my Bachelors degree at the University of Windsor in Canada. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and I have worked with couples and families as well.  I believe that trust, authenticity, and openness create a strong therapeutic relationship and I believe that these qualities are what make therapy and counseling most effective.
