My connection with adolescents is built on trust, safety, comfort, respect, and understanding, which allows me to create relationships with teens that can be hard fought with other adults. Speaking what can seem to be a foreign language and creating a bridge to families through the translation of that language brings purpose to my work. I have over twelve years of experience working with adolescents and families in different capacities and have dedicated my career to working exclusively with this population.

I have worked as a psychologist for 15 years and have extensive experience working with a population diverse in cultural and ethnic identity, spiritual beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, and socioeconomic status. I value each person has a unique experience and perspective.

My philosophy is based on the brain-body connection integrating neuroscience-based therapies to help develop flexible and adaptive emotional strength/resilience. And yes, it is possible to change your brain and therefore your thinking. I believe that we can all make the changes in ourselves we want. I am a licensed professional counselor and have been working in the field since 1998. I graduated with my BA from Clemson University and my MA from Regis University. I work with adolescents (15 y/o and above) and adults. I have extensive experience in the area of trauma, which has driven my practice.
