I am a couple's and family therapist that specializes in neurodivergence. If you or your partner are Autistic, have ADHD, are AuDHD, struggle with OCD, or experience some other kind of neurodivergence, I'd love to help. Whether you both have the same neurotype, or have mixed neurotypes, we will work on helping you connect and understand each other again. From the first session, you will walk away with new tools to apply right away to build that relationship you are craving. I also work with families who have a neurodivergent and/or disabled family member. I love working with the disabled community and their family members.

We help both adults and adolescents who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction issues, family issues or just feeling overwhelmed with life and the stress it creates. We love working with clients who are trying to feel better and learn how to actively create the emotions they would rather be feeling. Learning how to acknowledge and listen to our emotions, to respond intentionally, and to take action on the very important information our emotions give us is an important key to finding lasting well-being.

When the faith you built your life on begins to shift, the ground can feel unsteady. A faith crisis, religious trauma, or spiritual deconstruction can bring anxiety, grief, identity confusion, and strain in marriages or mixed-faith families. In the middle of this upheaval, there is hope and help. You may feel torn between authenticity and loyalty to loved ones or fear losing community and belonging. Together, we create clarity and emotional relief while rebuilding life — brick by brick — preserving connection, meaning, and integrity.

I love providing both "regular" therapy and art therapy.
My style includes highlighting client strengths, a focus on client autonomy and independence, and providing practical interventions to help clients feel empowered to take control of their own lives. I also have training in lifestyle or integrative medicine (diet, exercise, sleep, etc) and have seen these changes be just as life-changing as therapy.

Starting counseling can feel like a big step—for kids, teens, and families. My goal is to make that step feel comfortable, safe, and even hopeful. I work hard to create a space where young people feel heard, respected, and supported, whether they are dealing with tough emotions, stressful situations, or simply trying to understand themselves better. I want each child or teen to feel empowered, capable, and understood. I also believe in partnering with caregivers to support healthy communication and growth outside the therapy room.

I offer both counseling and Art Therapy using a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
I strongly believe that YOU are the expert on yourself. That being said, at times it is helpful to have a trained professional to support you in exploring places you may feel stuck in life, unhelpful patterns, and strategies for growing and moving forward.

Art Therapy
How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
