I identify as a white cisgender straight
female
, and strongly welcome individuals whose identities differ from mine.
Currently accepting new clients for ketamine therapy and EMDR and now IN network with Kaiser! If you've done therapy before but you want access to your subconscious to deepen your self understanding, then I'm equipped to help with that. By using psychedelic therapy with ketamine or EMDR we use all sources of deep inner wisdom to undo the things that aren't working anymore and strengthen the things that are! Sometimes talking just isn't going to cut it, and our own language and societal norms can be self limiting factors. We can cut through that in a safe way together to help you move towards your best self.

Women
and girls work with me on issues from teenage years, launching into adulthood, motherhood, perimenopause and beyond.
Being overwhelmed, feeling unlovable, and disengaged - can seem like the new normal. Stress can cause strong emotions; fear, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, irritability, and physical pain or chronic health issues. Maybe you feel unheard, de-valued and dismissed. Generational and institutional patterns can make it hard to navigate relationships and you feel stuck. You’re avoiding things when you’d like to be thriving. Life feels reduced to exhaustion and stress.

I specialize in supporting
women
and parents who want to find meaning, cultivate growth, and find themselves in new phases of life.
This season of life doesn’t feel the way you expected it to. Maybe you’re in the throes of parenting and feeling overcome with “mom guilt” (despite how hard you work) or noticing your own childhood experiences impacting the way you parent. From the outside looking in, it may look like you have it all together, but inside you actually feel anxious, unmotivated, or just plain numb. Your relationships are struggling: it’s like you can’t focus or truly connect with the people closest to you. You believe life doesn’t have to stay this way, but you’ve reached a point where you don’t think you can do this on your own anymore.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
