Hi there! I’m Kayla, owner and sole therapist of Scenic Heights Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and specialize in sex therapy and therapy for adult individuals and couples/relationships. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy when provided with a safe and affirming space to explore the issues that come with being human. It’s my goal to provide that space for you and to help you get back in touch with your authentic self.

I believe wholeheartedly in the power of families and relationships. Our parts, ultimately, have positive intentions and are, in their own way, trying to help us. When a part becomes entrenched and extreme, it can force us to act and think in ways that make us feel miserable. By having compassion for our parts and helping them heal, we enjoy more connection, serenity, success, and peace.

Kristen Sandine LPC, RPT and Lori Erwin LPSC, LPCC have dedicated their lives to guiding children and supporting families. We are passionate about advocating for and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community through therapy. Kristen is a former preschool teacher and nanny, and currently provides play therapy to young children and familiies. Lori has a background in School Counseling, helping kids and teens with issues around school, identity, sexuality, and also enjoys parent coaching!

I am trained in a myriad of techniques—including mindfulness and EMDR—to gently guide your mind and body back to the present moment to a state of well-being and resiliency.

My practice is grounded in treating stress, trauma, and PTSD. Supporting a broad range of clients impacted by the debilitating effects of these conditions - abuse, abandonment, loss, physical injury, chronic illness, terminal illness, chronic pain, obesity, work-related stress, relationship issues, etc. I have a uniquely-effective approach for assisting those impacted by sexual trauma. It is my professional passion and commitment to use the most effective and rapid treatment methods available to help clients achieve the highest degree of personal liberation and authenticity. I assist clients from the comfort and convenience of their own home via web video (Skype, FaceTime) and by phone.

I help men and women who are dealing with trauma and addiction to heal, recover, and create fulfilling lives. I have an extensive clinical background empowering clients’ to overcome a wide-variety of challenging issues including: anxiety, trauma, addiction, depression, anger, estranged relationships. I also specializing in working with men-specific issues. I contract with Life's Hope Counseling to serve Medicaid clients.

I am a holistic psychotherapist & eating psychology coach - utilizing Ketamine & Eastern and Western approaches to help clients heal. I specialize in working with eating disorders and also work with both men and women on issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, stress management, and transitions. I especially love supporting busy professionals to regain control of their lives and their relationship to food so that they can focus on rising to the top of their profession. I complement Cognitive Behavioral type therapy with the use of Somatic therapy to help clients connect with their inner wisdom.

People House offers affordable, accessible counseling for all who are empowered to better their lives, with services offered on an income-based sliding scale. This program is intended for clients who have a need for counseling services but lack the resources for full-priced psychotherapy. Fees start at $25/session. Lead by volunteer directorship and supervision from expert mental health professionals, the ACP is staffed by graduate and post-graduate interns who are gaining clinical hours for the completion of master's degrees or state licensing.
