I have a doctorate degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology. I have worked within the criminal justice system since 2010. I have worked with all ages, Probation, Parole, and incarcerated juveniles and adults. My experience with these populations has allowed me exposure to all diagnostic mental health conditions, cultural backgrounds, orientations, and trauma experiences. This has allowed me efficiency in building a therapeutic rapport with my clients, which improves their success in meeting their treatment goals as the therapeutic rapport is the most important aspect in therapy.
I specialize in forensic psychology, which involves understanding the client from a very holistic and comprehensive view, and this improves treatment success in non-forensic populations as well. I am also an author, expert presenter in documentaries, and have been featured several times in USA Today and CNN.
Working with underserved populations has exposed me to the recognition and treatment of all mental health conditions and an ability to understand the individual holistically. I have worked with many treatment resistant individuals, which has helped me to gain a very skilled approach to ensuring therapeutic rapport, confidence and trust with my clients.
