My name is Dr. Cliff Johnson and I started counseling other kids when I was 5 years old. I was a pre-therapist at that time and I helped other kids learn social skills and manage their anger and other emotions. So what is counseling? There could be many answers to this question. I help clients 'figure it out'. i.e. identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional stress and confusion. I use Cognitive Behavior Theory and also eclectic methods but these are just methods or tools that
I commonly use but the names are not really important, One of the goals, however, is to better understand ones self and to learn how to manage emotions and behavior. I specialize in working with males and females from age 13-17 with ADHD, anger management, anxiety, behavior problems,
stress and trauma, life changes and career, academic and school concerns. Counseling gives one insight. I am a professional counselor and guide, that will empower you to be successful and reach your goals. I have a doctorate in counseling-psychology.
