I strive to provide care that is customized to your unique strengths and weaknesses. The approach I use is called "integrative" in that thoughts, actions, emotions, and relationships are addressed. I understand that it isn't always easy to talk about problems. I'm patient, and I ask plenty of questions to better understand. To me therapy implies collaboration, where we both work hard toward successful outcomes. I tend to be a pretty active therapist, but I also know how to quietly listen when that fits you better.
Over several decades I have worked with people who are in many different circumstances. I provide individual, marital, and family therapy; as well as parental guidance. I see all age groups, but with younger children appointments include at least one parent.
