I have been a Mental Health Therapist since 2006 and I love what I do! I enjoy getting to know my clients and helping them set and achieve goals that lead to feelings of well-being. I believe it is possible to find a balance in life that makes you feel at peace with who you are in the present as well as have clear direction for your future. It is hard to move forward if you don't feel well emotionally and physically but discussing your concerns with a professional can help you decrease symptoms and move past what is making you feel stuck.
My areas of expertise include working with individuals with acquired brain injury (TBI, Concussion, Stroke, aneurysm, brain tumor, hypoxic and anoxic brain injury). I also specialize in helping people who struggle with depression, anxiety, life adjustments, and chronic pain. I use various evidenced-based therapies in practice including CBT and mindfulness.
I am willing to work with you for as little or as much time as you need. I believe that the most important part of a clinician's job is to develop a trustworthy relationship with the client and work at their pace towards achieving their goals. That may involve shorter term solution-focused therapy or longer term psychotherapy.
